Another tip for me would be positioning, learning when you have the advantage on your enemy, and when they have it on you. For example, in the clip at 6:02 there were 3 enemies at your sight, and although you had height advantage you had no cover. If any of the 3 enemies (one downed so 2) decided to shoot at you, you would have probably got killed, because you aimed for a really long time, so if while dragging your aim to the 2 guys at the back the 3rd one up front shot at you, there was not going to be time for you to counter his attack. It ended up good for you as they weren't that experienced I assume, but a faster player would have got you. The trick is trying to identify these situations and knowing when to shoot and when to switch to another position so you can land shots without exposing yourself
The same you can do for escaping out of bounds of bill's church, do the same on ladder right side and then crouch and them try to jump slowly into the over the stairs
I mean, if you’re running the hunting rifle with no silencer (like Ellie was) then Joel’s advice is on point. It has a really slow reload speed so if you miss your shot, not only do the enemy have a lot of time to take cover they can also see you on the map and find *good* cover. The hunting rifle is a terrible weapon to spam shoot with 😅
Respectfully, I disagree. Although I don’t necessarily mean spam your shots as you should still aim and go for what you want. Some of my best HR headshots have just been from quickscoping over and pulling the trigger without being totally sure I would hit it. And when I have been more hesitant, I have tended to do worse. But it’s all about individual experience as well and doing what works best for you :)

I don’t want to go for body shots unless I have to because then it seems like a waste of a shot, but I struggle so much with head shots that it just becomes a hassle. Yes, Sharpshooter is great but you would be better off learning to shoot without it. When I stopped using that perk and really started working on my aiming skills, my shooting improved significantly.

I used to play on a TV back with the ps3 and wasn't very good at aiming.. when I got my PS4 it felt like I didn't improve much, until I switched TVs and suddenly I could hit every target and didn't feel sluggish! It was nuts. I never thought it would be an issue, but yeah, it helps a lot.
Yep I didn’t know much about this either at first but playing on different tvs really made me feel better or worse. It wasn’t until researching this that I realized that TV could have an affect on performance
Bonus tip- warm up by playing story mode with reticle disabled. Once jumping into factions it will be hard to miss shots. (This doesn’t work with the bow though because you can’t disable it’s reticle in story mode)

Greatest tip in the video: Only hit supply boxes when low on ammo/health I hate when my team mindlessly crabwalks to every supplybox in the map. They never cut through the middle routes and walk the outer perimeter of the map the ENTIRE game. And then they complain when they get pinched in a corner. Throwables aren’t necessary as long as you land your shots. Only useful items from supply box is ammo/health, 2x4 and machete. Just skip the supply boxes and get in the better position before the enemy team does its that easy.
Exactly! I always skip the first box just to get in a good position and religiously only get boxes when I am low on health or ammo. I end up typically with a similar amount of throwables as other players just by default anyways but I get to be much more efficient with my parts because I save on purchasing ammo
@@DrPooplove yup i use the perk that gifts a health kit too when you hav nun specifically so i don’t have to retreat to a supply box. I forgot what it’s called but players need to start standing their ground more because they’re being too predictable walking to every supply box.
My onky downside is not being used to controller but also because my only experience with tlou and tlou2 is always grounded so i make my shots count subconsuiously. But yeah these help
You should have it already? It should show as a perk under gear up that you can choose for 5 loadout points. If you still having trouble let me know and I can try to help
It should be, I think in the past you had to unlock it but pretty sure they give you everything that isn’t paid dlc now. If you are level 27 I think you should have it and if not, it would say what you need to do to unlock if you hover over it
I dont think you really have to and in some ways it is about rhythm too. You could almost swirl your stick in a circle and kinda works. It’s really hard thinking about it lol since I have built a muscle memory but that seems to do the trick

Yeah sharpshooter health back makes you invincible with the burst. I like sharpshooter 3 mostly for the pain wobble reduction but don’t mind if they get rid of the health back
Bro, Ive been playing the last of multiplayer since 2014. What the hell happened to the aim assist button? My aim assist is off because i turned it off a long time ago. Someone accused me of modding then I mentioned aim assist button. Thats when they said that there is no aim assist button. I checked the options and there is no aim assist option anymore. So essentially, as far as I know, I permanently have no aim assist. Im not complaining, theres a reason i turned it off originally. But it seems like an unfair advantage since everyone else has no choice. Naughtydog what the hell. Give us the option again.
I dont recall it being an option to toggle on Factions. I think it’s there for uncharted multiplayer but for Factions the default is to have aim assist on. So everyone is playing with a certain level of aim assist on

My aim doesn't slow down or follow the enemy when my crosshair is hovering over the an enemy player. It's the same speed from left to right while hovering over an enemy. sharpshooter is probably my favorite perk other than a stealth load out with agility 2, sharp ears 3, and covert 2

Did you train your aim in private matches alone, with friends or regular matches?
For the most part I just did it in regular matches, letting myself die a lot trying to get better until it started clicking

Bombs can take a bit of a muscle memory to aim it well, but at least it shows you the trajectory when aiming. I think probably practice makes perfect!
