Hello! I've been a professional seaman working on a variety of ships all over the world, including larger passengerboats, for the past 15 years. For about ten of those years I've been a designated smokediver with special security duties and have been in real situations where theres been a fire / other crisises onboard a ship. The past two years I've been working a second job as Assistant Instructor teaching fire safety at sea and running fullscale drills.
CRUISES ARE FUCKING TERRIFYING AND AN ABSOLUTE LOGISTICAL NIGHTMARE FOR THE CREW IN CASE ANYTHING BAD HAPPENS. They are safe enough and the chances nowadays that something bad is gonna happen are slim but the possibilty that something can go horribly wrong makes me stay away from them. @northernlion, AMA about my job, I know you are into that :D

Think the thing with cruises is when they go wrong, it’s catastrophic, never mind that more people probably get sick or die on non-cruise holidays, even accounting for the proportional difference. Sure, hundreds of thousands of people might have got sick from eating undercooked food whilst on holiday this year, but it definitely sticks in your head more when a few thousand get it all on the one ship.

2) Who is Andrew and why does he talk about Andrew this much? Something like a secret lover? But his partner can also watch the stream...
3) Why does he like dipping stuff in Mona Lisa's chili oil? Particularly what is special about Mona Lisa's chili oil in this context? Does Canada have a chili oil brand called Mona Lisa? If so then why? Da Vinci had expertise on many things but cooking like a master chef
