There's another rendition of this on YT where both the orchestra and the audience looked like they were going to fall asleep. Don't ask me how!! Only the conductor looked like he was having a good time.
Theres this one korean concertmaster of this symphony and shes way more energetic and enthusiastic than her fellow musicians 😂 unfortunately shes not in this event
Davy Jones Song is actually a perfect portrayal of his emotional journey. Unfulfilled but upright and honest love, the sadness, then the desperation, the opening abyss of despair, until it turns into something aggressive, then cruel; and in progress of the song even culminating in its cruelty, that you wouldnt expect; but this pain.. is always present. An this hurt feeling is the theme that survives until the end and it is the last emotion, the last memory that he feels when he dies. And only that feeling. His love for Her is stronger than his desolation. This is masterfully composed and played.
Davy Jones? Wow! There are tons of cover of the main theme, but a live performance of Davy Jones, especially with pipe organ, is something I couldnt have imagined. Love it
Davy Jones.... I swear it gave me goosebumps, it's one of the most impressive soundtracks I've ever heard in my life. "Davy Jones theme music" is not something we generally see in orchestras. But here they developed a very wonderful and original idea and succeeded. I can listen to this song all my life without getting tired of it
Nice arrangement but at the start it keeps veering off into a little bit of Gladiator, with occasional notes of the Skyrim: Dragonborn theme. The end is reminiscent of the El Indio music box motif from Enrico Morricone’s Fist Full of Dollars. But I guess when there a finite amount of musical notes there’s bound to be some repetition.
In Davy jones song, When you can feel each and every emotion in a song, much like this one, it’s full of emotion a human can feel. From sadness, to dispare, from anger to rage From love and hate. I can feel each and every one of those feelings in this piece. They played it very beautifully
every now and again i need to listen to the pirates of the caribbean soundtrack. the davy jones theme is just something otherworldly, still to this day, in terms of theme songs
The pianoplay... wow.. You can allmost hear a pearl drop to the floor. It really puts a pressure on the artist, because if he hits it wrong people will know for sure since he is the only sound they can hear.. Well done
The potc movies are my absolute favorite. I’ve watched them so many times. I love hearing He’s a pirate because it just brings back so many memories, and makes me wanna watch the movies again! This was so beautiful.
Simply sublime The best rendition of them all And that harrowingly haunting yet tragically beautiful Davy Jones segment ... When the oboe and orchestra joined in Profoundly poignant Gah, this music turns one all verklempt and poetic
Bravo! The emotion and power that comes through the recording is amazing. I would have loved to have been in the audience that night. The sound, lighting and videography excellent as always. Can I also say, I loved that color of polish the pianist wore.
Ten years, I devoted to the duty you charged me. Ten years, I looked after those who died at sea, and finally, when we could be together again, you weren't there. Why weren't you there?
My school's marching band performed this back in 99. I was on the bass drum....don't think we, being the teenagers we were, did it any justice, but we were proud to play this masterpiece..
I utterly love watching an orchestra... its like it breathes... it looks alive ... the swaying, rises and drops... its almost as if its an entiry outside the musicians
I just rediscovered DNO! WHERE have they been all my life? I got so tired of streaming a certain classical music station it was driving me sane, so went looking on RUclips for The GBU theme and never realized this is a whole fantastic Fist Full of (Wonderful) Music! I finally had to stop with the Pirates of the Caribbean and go to bed, but I'll be back for a lot more bounty!
Ahh womaaannnnn!! Life is cruel, why should the afterlife be any different... Davy Jones is a masterpiece and this, this is something that I cannot explain. Love u Hans Zimmer.
It is a matter of pride for me that I’m a bit of a veteran fan of the DNO. (Tuva’s famous “waa waa” video was my first and it was only about a week old when I first saw it.) Since then I’ve watched a great many DNO videos. I’ve thoroughly sampled most of the different genre videos and discovered lots of unexpected gems. But my favorite are the movie music videos. You guys have done a great job of staying true to the original pieces. The Star Trek suite is a perfect example. I grew up on Star Trek and you guys nailed it. Also, the videography is top grade. I used to be a photojournalist and I can tell you one of the most challenging things to represent visually is people sitting and doing something repetitively. It’s very difficult to keep it from always looking the same. So the DNO has set a high standard both musically and visually. But the one thing that always takes me by surprise is when your version is better than the original. I love this music. I’ve listened to “He’s a Pirate” more than 50 times IN A ROW. I’m sure I’ve heard it hundreds of times. Guys, yours is better. Lots better. And in combining with other “Pirates” music, you have made a masterpiece. This compilation is nearly perfect musical storytelling. Ladies and gentlemen of the orchestra, sound techs and video artists, lighting experts, stage hands, set designers and all the rest - well done. Very, very well done. Thank you and please keep up the good work.
I won’t be able to sit through this concert with a straight face. I’d be laughing at Jack’s theme and crying out at Davy’s theme. The atmosphere must be surreal I imagine.
FANTASTIC! Udestående! Performers and conductor all _excellent_ - so much energy, but also nuance! Bravo! That said, I'd like to _especially_ highlight the fantastic _production._ It's not 'the centerpiece' of a concert, generally - it's 'a backdrop.' This can be very utilitarian / pragmatic, and perfectly good - it's a treat just to be able to go to a concert & hear people play live! But, a polished 'full-featured' production can really flesh a concert out into a more substantial _experience._ An experience where the musicians are part of an entire 'environment' ... an environment that is, so-to-speak, part of 'the conversation.' Of course, this can sometimes stray into taking the spotlight from the music and musicians - but not here. Kudos to the 'directors', stage managers, lighting crew, camera artists, etc. Beautiful beautiful production! _(And music)_ Thanks so much for sharing!!! _Edit: how could I forget_ THE EDITORS??? _I can't think of another role that is so crucial and so perpetually underappreciated / overlooked. So sorry to have effectively perpetuated the neglect!_ _KUDOS EDITORS!!!_
Cruel and cold like winds on the sea Will you ever return to me? Hear my voice sing with the tide My love will never die Over waves and deep in the blue I will give up my heart for you Ten long years I wait to go by My love will never die Come, my love, be one with the sea Rule with me for eternity Drown all dreams so mercilessly And leave their souls to me Play the song you sang long ago And wherever the storm may blow You will find the key to my heart We'll never be apart Wild and strong, you can't be contained Never bound nor ever chained Wounds you caused will never mend And you will never end Cruel and cold like winds on the sea Will you ever return to me? Hear my voice sing with the tide Our love will never die
Finally a group that doesn't look bored as hell and plays as energetically and bombastically as it was intended
Its just something we Danes can do. 😊
Have you watched Hans Zimmers own performance? It’s amazing
I promise you no orchestra is bored, it’s because they are really focused so they may come off a bit nonchalant.
There's another rendition of this on YT where both the orchestra and the audience looked like they were going to fall asleep. Don't ask me how!! Only the conductor looked like he was having a good time.

Hmmm right mate.. 😉
THIS!!!
I couldn’t have put it into better words myself. That is why I am so drawn to this specific piece and why I strive to perfect it on the piano
Best villain ever ❤❤
That. Was. Beautiful.
Davy Jones? Wow! There are tons of cover of the main theme, but a live performance of Davy Jones, especially with pipe organ, is something I couldnt have imagined. Love it
The Danish orchestra is something else, check them out whenever you can.
That was an outstanding performance. Wow. I’m awestruck

But here they developed a very wonderful and original idea and succeeded. I can listen to this song all my life without getting tired of it
"That's got to be the best orchestra I've ever seen."
"It DEFINITELY would seem!"
Happy new year to the best orchestra in the world!
Amen to that. They are truly an amazing orchestra!!!!
Davy Jones, one of the saddest characters, got this saddest music masterpiece. Full of pain and sadness.
😎
😎
Pirates of the Caribbean performed by a marvellous orchestra. Very well realised in a suite.
Congratulations to the orchestra and conductor.
Hans really did release an absolute banger of a theme when we were kids. ❤❤❤
Yes your right, they don’t put music like that into movies nowadays
Absolutely right and coul agree more. As 90’s kid we were so fortunate to experience that
Nice arrangement but at the start it keeps veering off into a little bit of Gladiator, with occasional notes of the Skyrim: Dragonborn theme. The end is reminiscent of the El Indio music box motif from Enrico Morricone’s Fist Full of Dollars. But I guess when there a finite amount of musical notes there’s bound to be some repetition.
I love that they dont just play the music, they make it their own!
I frickin love how the drums are mimicking Jones' heartbeat
I love seeing how much goes into these pieces we hear. Look at all the masters playing… it’s incredible 🤧
Totally agree. It is genius at work. Much respect.
I see your sparkly nails Mr Pianist, I see them.
Slay
The soundtrack to pirates of the Caribbean never fails to put a smile on my face
In Davy jones song, When you can feel each and every emotion in a song, much like this one, it’s full of emotion a human can feel. From sadness, to dispare, from anger to rage From love and hate. I can feel each and every one of those feelings in this piece. They played it very beautifully
2:35 That organist is the most confident man on the face of the Earth.
Hahaha 😂 true
I want him to have tentacles as beard and start playing the organ
The organist's FACE is perfect. And as usual this is the BEST orchestra in the world. An epic take!
Blud is mewing 🗿
1:45 I loove the audio quality, its just soo good that you can hear the keys pressed, amazing performance!
every now and again i need to listen to the pirates of the caribbean soundtrack. the davy jones theme is just something otherworldly, still to this day, in terms of theme songs
Was waiting for you to perform this masterpiece by Hans Zimmer... and that Davy Jones chime😭😭😭🌹
Goosebumps on Davy Jones part 👌👌
Right mate 😉
Ein wundervoller Film und ein phantastischer Soundtrack. Hat einen hohen Wiedererkennungswert!!! 👍👍👍

New definitive rendition just dropped boys, this is it, the perfect performance for these songs
Прекрасней живого исполнения нет ни чего ..Душа , мурашки , эмоции...
The pianoplay... wow.. You can allmost hear a pearl drop to the floor. It really puts a pressure on the artist, because if he hits it wrong people will know for sure since he is the only sound they can hear.. Well done
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen
Became a fan for life after experiencing the “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly” for the first time. They bring it in every performance.
The potc movies are my absolute favorite. I’ve watched them so many times. I love hearing He’s a pirate because it just brings back so many memories, and makes me wanna watch the movies again! This was so beautiful.
Absolutely magnificent. The Danes are always known for magnificent music and it shows here in the video how beautifully they play
Wonderful Orchestra, Musicians and Director
The Best of the Best! Congratulations!!
Simply sublime
The best rendition of them all
And that harrowingly haunting yet tragically beautiful Davy Jones segment ...
When the oboe and orchestra joined in
Profoundly poignant
Gah, this music turns one all verklempt and poetic

Et kæmpe godt nytår til vores fantastiske symfoniorkester. I bliver ved med at hæve standarten.
Fanen eller niveauet?
Det er altid godt at hæve fanen :)
I like how the group filled their emotions into the dynamics
A standing ovation performance!, Davy Jones theme as mentioned is a true emotional journey of love, sadness and range!
It was an amazing concert. 🙏 - Looking forward to experiencing Fantasymphony, the Viking themed concert and Brahms live this year. 😊
A truly masterful performance.
This is an impeccably beautiful performance. Just awesome...everything!
Bravo! The emotion and power that comes through the recording is amazing. I would have loved to have been in the audience that night. The sound, lighting and videography excellent as always. Can I also say, I loved that color of polish the pianist wore.
Хоспади, это просто прекрасно! Вынос мозга. Ханс Циммер - гений, а это его лучшее исполнение! Спасибо!
Ten years, I devoted to the duty you charged me. Ten years, I looked after those who died at sea, and finally, when we could be together again, you weren't there. Why weren't you there?
That Davy Jones part is awesome ♥️🥁
Holy shit. I have no words for Davy Jone's theme... I was shaking just listening to it, it was so good.
Happy new year for all musicians and the all orchestra 🎉💐❤️
My school's marching band performed this back in 99. I was on the bass drum....don't think we, being the teenagers we were, did it any justice, but we were proud to play this masterpiece..

Это просто потрясающе 🥲, Ганс Зиммер как будто не от мира сего , такую красоту придумать
Many performances of orchestral pieces are well done, but it is so hard to find ones that are so well recorded like this. Simply amazing all around.
I just rediscovered DNO! WHERE have they been all my life? no one aint giving fact that the solo was EPIC
Amazin. Lets get this viral!
The pianist has some pretty silvery nails. love it
The organ man:
+100000000000 aura
Davy Jones is not just a captain,,, he is my favourite Emotional villian
The organist impressed me
It would have been amazing to be at this event, especially at the crux of the playing at 2.58, absolute masterpiece ❤
Cruel and cold like winds on the sea
Will you ever return to me?
Hear my voice sing with the tide
My love will never die
Over waves and deep in the blue
I will give up my heart for you
Ten long years I wait to go by
My love will never die
Come, my love, be one with the sea
Rule with me for eternity
Drown all dreams so mercilessly
And leave their souls to me
Play the song you sang long ago
And wherever the storm may blow
You will find the key to my heart
We'll never be apart
Wild and strong, you can't be contained
Never bound nor ever chained
Wounds you caused will never mend
And you will never end
Cruel and cold like winds on the sea
Will you ever return to me?
Hear my voice sing with the tide
Our love will never die
THEY ALL FEEL IT, JUST AS I DO !!!!!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AMAZIIIINNNNGGGGGG
wonderful play, props to everyone that taking part in this.
I feel like people like Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri and John Williams will be on the same level as Mozart and Beethoven decades from now
James horner too
Davy Jones was perect! Everyone just nailed it!
how did the woman ( with oboe) could hold her breath that long....its amazing 🎉
As far as I remember her name is Eva Steinaa, she is a bit of a star on this musical instrument.
You can see in the eyes of the The man who plays the piano has kept his heart in a box for his Calypso, and is still playing Davy Jones.
Everytime i listen to it it gives me the goosebumps.
So hecking amazing 🥰🥰
