Great job on showing the car. Moved through features with no waisted time and still comprehensive. Has everything I look for but wish they had the overhead camera when in reverse.

This is a car designed in 2018, but its R line package still looks very handsome today. I just don't understand why Volkswagen doesn't offer the Tiguan R in the North American market. The 184 horsepower +8at wastes such a handsome and sporty appearance. At least equip the R line package with a GTI engine and DSG, so that it can easily beat the CX5 Turbo and become the most handsome and fastest SUV in the same price range.

It is an allright car. I just got the 2024 sel r line...same as this but with black interior. It seems much smaller on the road in height compared to a rav 4 or crv. Hopefully in long run itd better.

I feel like the digital cockpit should also be available in lower trims, especially for 2024

    • @vwguru
      @vwguru  9 месяцев назад

The digital Cockpit is standard in every VW model. Digital Cockpit with navigation is standard in only SEL and higher trims. Jetta is the only exception to this.

We just bought a 2024 Tiguan highline r line and it has heated rear seats. I'm in Canada but I guess this was for the American market?

Canadian gets a few extras, particularly due to the colder climate.

That doesn’t come to the Tiguan until 2025 model. US Spec is behind the Euro spec by one year.

How is 2024 tiguan in Europe so much nicer and actually redesigned and US gets an outdated shitty end of the stick per usual?

We always get the refreshed units one to two years AFTER Europe.

3 YEARS ago i paid 29k for a 2021 RLINE BLACK. 3 years later ...the SEL is 11k more expensive ?? You need 72 months just to pay this off at $600 a month ...That's 6 years ..
Who the hell keeps a car for 6 years ? Not most of us . VW is out of control

@@br-dj2ti ZERO.....only people with bad credit put money down on cars or people who are buying cars that are out of the range that banks are willing to finance
Here's the HUGE PROBLEM with putting money down on a car !!!!!
      Let's say u put $5000 down on a car...
      30 days later u still have a car note . And if u don't pay that u lose $5000
that $5000 is better spent AFTER you've finalized the sale ....
Your first 6-8 car payments are taken care of

So, was your car a SEL or an SE? That makes a price difference. Also, the 2024 SEL has every option standard. They are all R Lines this model year. The only option you have is exterior color. The car shown also had 4 after factory add ons totaling near $1k.
This final model year VW loaded up the SEL with everything they had. It may seem pricey, but if you analyze what you get now versus before, this car is worth it. Btw, I bought the first model year (2018), of this 2nd gen SEL in late 2017. Paid it off last year. We bought the 2024 SEL R Line Black last week with cash. This car is the next level up in driving .

When im in my VW TIG with my EAR PLUGS in
I love how my car sounds.
The engine is too loud ,
It's not fast enough.... FOR ME
      I've owned 3 VW's in a row
DRIVEN over 400,000 miles between the 3

Outed thinking. Todays engines have incredible tolerances and materials, forged steel, Titanium, etc. The full size Chevy and GMC 1500s have 4 cylinders. Watch the videos of these trucks pulling 6700 lb trailers up steep grades at 65 mph. Engines aren’t working hard and engine temp not moving. Those truck engines rated at 310 hp and 420 torque. My 4 cylinder Audi Q5 with factory receiver pulls 4400 (suspension limited). I pulled a 12 ft open U-Haul trailer and loaded it up. Went over grades and passes without a lot of effort at the speed limit.

Only about 500 pounds more then my 2014 gti
I beat on my gti daily for the last 7 years now 125k miles and still no issues. My grey Tiguan r line sel will be at my dealer in February. Can’t wait m.
This vehicle is not to tow

Just tune it, you'll get a ton of extra hp and tq. Completely changed the way the car drives.
