Just picked up a 24 Tiguan R line black edition Canadian build. The Canadian version of the SE comes with the 10.25 inch instrument panel. The infotainment unit has many shortcut buttons, allowing one to cut through the layers of apps. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive, with dialed in handling and a very quiet cabin. The Tiguan is Audi lite, it has a very refined feel plus in my opinion it is the best looking compact suv in its segment.
Glad I saw this video. I have 2024 SE, I didn’t know where to store the privacy cover if I didn’t need to use it. I saw it can be stored near spare tire.
I really like the Tiguan, it’s well equipped and comfortable. I just think VW missed the mark on the motor as it’s capable of much more horsepower. Could you imagine how nice it would be with the GTI’s output? Looking forward to seeing what they do with the next generation. 😎
Sad to say, I own a 22 R Line Black with 36k on the clock and it looks like I a may have an oil consumption issue. Going to have the dealer take a look. Love the car though.
@@HawkeyeRides I think they all come with the B4 engine, which is around 250 hp. And to get luxury you have to move up from the Core model which is already $41,000. You're looking at well over $50k nicely equipped. I can flash the ECU on the Tiguan for a few hundred dollars and have similar or more power, better handling, but not quite as premium as the Volvo. Decisions, decisions....
We have the R line 2018 model. Of all Tiguan models that model is the most beautiful. The new Tiguan is ugly. Both interior and exterior. VW doesn’t make beautiful cars anymore.
I got this as my second SUV and it’s a comfortable five passenger SUV great on gas, very slow. The power delivery is very sloppy, the power delivery it’s just not refined when it sends power, nothing like the Mazda cx5.

Thank you for your owners insight 🎉👍
Thanks for clarifying that… I bought it in Canada too and waiting and I swear the panel was bigger.
@@johnstone8518 I think its worth the wait. The Tig is a great ride. I waited 3 months for my R Line blackout edition.
The refresh looks too much the last gen crv and current tuscon
@brinderpanesar7761 I think it looks like the Audi Q5. Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini are divisions of VW.
Like the way they look. They’re just slow. No power. I like how they integrate the screen in the dash and didn’t do the iPad look
I agree, it would be better with more power
I agree. I drive a 200hp diesel in Europe and it’s quite slow. I can immagine the 2.0 gas 184… should be slower.
No pep. No juice. Just slow.
Yeah it’s pretty slow.7,9 seconds 0-60.But i own one and i can definitely say that the handling is gorgeous for this suv
@@andriibushta2906 Daaaaam that is slow. My 2016 cruze is a little quicker than that lol

They have an area to keep everything in the vehicle 👍
My mom has that car… It looks VERY similar! But the only thing is inside the car of the seats, they’re Light Brown.
@@TheTargetFandom they are nice vehicles 👍
We aren’t getting the new updated Tiguan for 2024 like they are over in Europe? Theirs looks so much nicer
For 2025 we get the updates but it will have a longer wheelbase compared to Europe and we will not receive all the powertrain options.

That is true Mike, that engine would make this much better. I am excited for the new gen as the Tiguan is already a favorite of mine.

This is much quicker then the crv I tested drove . I don’t think it was super slow when I drove it it tbh, it’s good for what it is . SUV
@@elvirBMT thanks for the info 👍
I knew that looked like Tampa roads Fowler ave, Fletcher ave, N Florida ave etc
Thanks correct
They should have a performance engine from Golf R. I want a performance suv for my growing family, and the GTi isn't cutting it anymore
I agree they should option two different engines
Any word on when the 2025 is expected?
It should be in this quarter
When I think "R Line" I would think it has more horsepower. But sadly, it has low horsepower but ok torque. Needs 250+ ponies.
I agree 250 would be sufficient
I agree that would be great
This is a family car, not to run in the streets, for family its perfect.
@@aezano okay
Do I go with this or a Volvo XC40?
I like the xc40 more, they have more power options and better luxury inside

B5 or recharge Congratulations whichever way you
Wish I could turn off the heated steering wheel as a default at startup. Don't need it in NV.
Is that for the remote start
@@HawkeyeRides nope, standard start. Wheel heat always comes on.
@fredrickmillstead2804 have it checked at the dealership. It should on turn on with the setting for the remote start or check VW app
@@HawkeyeRides thanks, I will do that. Appreciate the 411.
Does this one have the light bar?
Se r line black has it

Yes
I will keep our outlander it destroys this in every way plus 10 year 100,000 mile warranty
The warranty is awesome

The R line makes it look nice
slow, tons of noise after 50. no buy
Thanks for your input
Too Slow. MPH gauge is ugly. Everything else is great.
It has room for updates
@@HawkeyeRides 2009 Tiguan is nice and fast.
I find it funny because most older suv and trucks are fast
@@HawkeyeRides I think all it needs is a $500 Stage 1 chip upgrade and it will drive like the older Tiguans.

Ugh I was gonna swap my 23 Turbo CX5 for this, but hearing how slow and sloppy it is. I might not anymore. The Tigun looks fantastic tho.
It's only slow off the line
