If the owner stored information in his gmail and the information is also stored in his phone using the same gmail then will that person lose the information if I click on reset

Gmail is on cloud. It has nothing to do with changing owner or doing a factory reset.

From Chromebook sign-in screen, remove the profile you want to delete.

From the Sign-In screen select the child. There should be an arrow next to the child profile. In the box select remove user.

08-22-23 Hopefully you will see this. Don't give up. Exactly what model do you have? I haven't used this method but I am going to this evening. Mine is an Acer Chromebook 315. A friend bought it but didn't like it. I may have to do it multiple times but I will be glad to add my information in the comments but I think the young man's video covers everything needed to reset a Chromebook.

How can I say this politely? Your video is not good?
1) I had to set to 4K to try and see your screen and card
2) Still couldn't read the chicken scratch on the card - your note in description is too cryptic for average person
3) You are referring to sliders, but you can't see the right side of the screen
