    Thanks a lot ! I really feel everyone should take accountability of their own work.. it is unfair to be dependent all the time. I have been a victim of this since last 2 yrs.. people have been taking me for granted

    I had a group leader who was messing around with Word processing program without first attending a training course. He took a very complicated contract document and screwed up the document very badly. The Friday afternoon just before quitting time, he came into my work cubicle in a huff and a puff telling me that he was taking a scheduled one week vacation and he wanted me to fix his work. I said “I told you not to screw around with Word because you hadn’t been trained yet”. He left my area not happy at all.

    I can't even say 'no' to my friends, they always make me do their works by saying their health is not well . I am just about to enter a job and I'm very much afraid what will I do when I have to handle this kind of requests from my seniors !!

      just say 'no' if you can't then say okay I'll do it and take a lot of time or your own sweet time. They'll know that it's not worth it.

      Instead of saying direct No try saying I have other work probably you cannot finish to pick up new one. I had the same issue but now it's sorted a bit due to same method I'm following. If they insist to do.. just tell that you can pickup new things only once old one completes. Or swap their timelines. Better yo track everything in a excel sheet so that if somebody asks you can explain what happened at that time

    I appreciate the techniques you mentioned in this video. However, most of the time, Managers are smart enough to manipulate that if we tell them that we already have many tasks on the priority list, could you help to reprioritise these with the task you are assigning. They would ask us to create a TAT-wise Action Plan MIS to adjust the time in this activity.

    What I say is "I'm not well suited for this task." Then suggest someone else who might be. If the manager insists, take five times as long to complete the task. If it's a manual task, do it in code. Never accept being down skilled.

    If someone asks you to get coffee, "accidentally on purpose" load it up with salt instead of sugar.

    I have got an offer for a role but yet to join as I am waiting for experience letter from previous organisation to be submitted to the onboarding team.I have had discussions with the HR regarding thew submission of various documents over the past 1 week.The new company urgently wants me to join the team and is expecting me to join
    During this 1 week I attended another interview for the same role with another bigger company and if offered a better pay is it okay to accept that offer. Or do you think if i am breaking the trust of the first organisation.
    Hope my question is clear

    Another life saver video ma'am! You are like my corporate angel!. I relate to each & every word you say. I just had 1 question ma'am. I have just joined a company (my total work ex is 3 months - basically fresher). So, I want to know is my HR at office, a good person to take advise from? Like I find her very friendly but I know she is too smart. My TL is very short tempered & I feel like I need to tell HR. So, is this wise or stupid? (Again thanks a lot for your wisdom)

    • @Bejewelle88
      @Bejewelle88 5 месяцев назад

      Best not to go to HR unless you are being bullied or discriminated against. HR will expect you to be mature enough to handle a bad-tempered person. Ask your friends for advice or a colleague who you feel would be sympathetic (but again be careful, as you may not know them well, and you have to see if they are close friends with the TL or the gossipy type). If you are not the only one who has a problem with the TL, maybe you can pick up hints how to handle them from the other members of the team.
