The biggest lesson I get from your tutorials isn't the cool gear or even the lighting techniques. It's that very general, basic sense of creative thinking you use when composing shots and dressing your set. You're going to different stores to find objects, using cheaper methods to recreate elegant looks while not breaking the bank or buying too many heavy/space consuming props. It's refreshing and something I want to get back to...as I often feel like the whole "Buy this new expensive thing!" mentality can really stifle creativity.
That's exactly what I want people to take away from these videos. I started in my kitchen with my camera and a slider. Of course your gear grows when your career does but a lot if not all of these shots do not need any fancy gear to be created.
How did the light travel on the edge of bottle and glass at 0:22? Insane.
I need to make a tutorial on it but its two shots one with the silhouette of the bottle then I bring in a tube light directly behind the bottle to create that edge light. From there you put the two clips on top of eachother and mask the edge of the second shot in, add some movement in post and boom.
@@AustenPaul Thank you so much for the detailed reply.
Tutorial would be a great GREAT help.
Thanks a lot in advance.🤗

My pleasure 😊
He's back!!
Trying to share as much as I can!!
So good. My only thinking is that it feels like most wine brands are still quite old school in there branding and prestige so a lot of the design is fairly repetitive or the same (not saying its easy to do or discounting how awesome it looks), but considering different branding how would liven things up for a fun, younger style brand but still in the product video space? Have you got some other wine brands - love to see it
Such a brilliant channel. Thanks for the helpful info, Austen. Subscribed and looking forward to future videos from you.

How was the edge light line done on the bottle please
I need to make a tutorial on it but its two shots one with the silhouette of the bottle then I bring in a tube light directly behind the bottle to create that edge light. From there you put the two clips on top of eachother and mask the edge of the second shot in, add some movement in post and boom.
