I am no dancer, but when he does those leaps at 2:30, his arms, legs head everything are in the exact same position through every turn, i'm impressed!

I am in tears! 2:08 to 2:36 brings tears to my eyes, becouse I was just a kid, about 12, when I met Gregg Burge, he and my uncle Kwame, RIP 1946 TO 1982 use to practice dancing alot together, they where in the Wiz, my uncle was the Tinman! Gregg Was the scare crow!
I actually witness my Uncle and Kwame do that same move together, and I felt their spirit, as if they where, brought back to life!!
    Amazing simple Amazing!

Here's a few interesting tidbits: The lady who plays Cassie played the drama teacher in the High School Musical movies; Michelle JOhnston (girl in the green) played the choreographer in "Showgirls"; Bob Fosse's daughter, Nicole (one-piece w/brown belt), is in this, so is Wayne Gretzky's wife (the greyish-blue) two piece. The lady who plays Val isn't in the main dance sequence because she was hired mainly for her "star" quality (she was on Dallas & OLTL) not dance ability.

Just looked him up and you are right! In fact he was very active and very successful on Broadway, including having done this part there. What a great artist. It would have been great if everyone in this movie had been up to his standard.

Hadn't, seen this movie in quite a while . The women are all in such great shape. Just beautifull ! Not one big ass or big thigh like a Kardashian! These women were in the best shape, but I guess you'd have to be to dance these routines. Hard to believe it's 39 years ago !

Not only is Gregg Burge gone too early, it's also Tony Fields (Al DeLuca, the hubby of the squeaky voiced girl); he was only 36 when he died from cancer (secondary to the AIDS) in 1995.

I've never seen the movie/show (whatever), and did not know nor have seen the young man before either. However as I watched this, I said to myself, "He'll be dead soon." Said this before reading the comments. I am very sorry that he died so young. So many people get caught up in the immoral life style of the show business world and ruin their lives so quickly and so profoundly. It's like scum-sucking pus eating away the flesh until there is nothing left. So frightening and so sad.
