The martial arts book allowing to use all of the special moves before even level 50 is quite fun if you go for a, lets say, no weapon run against the psychopaths.
Honestly considering the mini chainsaws and the real mega buster also kind of broke the original game (even if not to the extent of unlimited durability had), I am personally fine with an unlimited durability book being added. But ya it 100% should of been unlocked after completing 7 day survivor instead of saving all the survivors. Hell I would even go as far as to have added a new achievement were you have to survive longer then 7 days in infinite mode to unlock the book.
@@Teamfortressjunkie I disagree, given the special forces can stun-lock you and end a run instantly, and now RNG determines your strats now, it can easily take several runs to get 7-Day survivor, even if it doesn't take long for a run.
For anyone complaining about the books being to op here’s a tip. Don’t use it. No one is holding you hostage forcing you to use it so if it’s makes it too easy for you just don’t use it
You're talking to someone who doesn't triple-book the Small Chainsaw and prefers to play Dead Rising starting from Level 1. I didn't say the books were OP. I only said the Infinity Durability book was too easy to unlock, and that the new books mostly just made the game easier INSTEAD of opening new ways of playing the game. I would have preferred more books like Toy Modding and Martial Arts (or the recycling book, which I did not know about when making this video).
The book that gives better cardboard box drops is insanely good. It drops battle axes and katanas so often. I also found Gunslingers very very useful as I so often had some sort of gun on me whether it was a shotgun or an SMG, the latter of which with the book trivializes the convicts even more. The fireworks bom is a fun little book too. I saw the blender book on the blender but didn’t realize you could put anything in it. The durability book is broken and makes Infinity Mode, when paired with the health books, a breeze. Get a SMG and a katana or battle axe from Entrance Plaza until you get the sword, meat cleaver, machete or small chainsaw and then just get the food books and find yourself a heavy machine gun and just run around killing survivors and psychopaths, fast forward time and eat food then repeat. The durability book helped me get the Zombie Genocider trophy which I would not have gotten otherwise because it is just too tedious to do.

And gees is it night and day difference against the soldiers. They go down in 2-3 shots as opposed to 30 something from their own guns
I really enjoyed this game being easier purely because I played DR1 in like 2010 when I was 11 and had all the time in the world to play this games after school and on weekend to grind. I'm 25, I work 5 days, have band practice and playing with my band once a week, I make time to see family and friends, I have a fiancé, I play Tennis as my exercise, ect I get like an hour or 2 to play after work and I get a couple hours in the evening on days off (after all my little bits are sorted in the day) and I just want games to be fun to play. I completed all the modern RE games on expert because I get the mechanics of those games and can breeze on just basic RE stragety. But, I for the most part just want games to be fun and easy to pickup 👍🏻
Before Jack gets another comment about the infinite ammo book to preface he just thinks its to easy to unlock not that the books existence is a problem after all Dead rising was released in the mid 2000s where infinite ammo or in this case durability as well was a common unlock in video games of this time for doing something secret or difficult in those times. My opinion about all the books is there all generally solid but I am not liking the throwing damage being pitiful. As for the arguments put fourth. My points are they probably did toughness with the Fashion Magazine to avoid having to add new food items around the map just to add painkiller so this allows them to add painkiller in a way without having to do that basically to avoid doing your suggestion of adding more food. Though that Women's Digest idea though would have been a good inclusion. The Gunslingers book I'm kind of mixxed really because while it thematically fits going with making it a reward for beating Cletus its also very convenient in the fight against Carlito because as you encountered in your book tier list of the original the earlier you have a book the more useful it is there is some books that you receive to late to really benefit from there effects so having it in the first Carlito fight means you can carry this book in basically every boss fight in the game without needing to go to Cletus first and its the only way to buff the firearms so I'm not against having it be accessible and out there. Also another problem is Cletus is a unmarked scoop so if you don't know hes there at the gun store as a new player you could completely miss Cletus and by extension this book as a reward if it was. So I do agree it could be a reward but if they do that I would suggest that they make it a marked scoop and have Otis point out that there is a gun store in the north plaza, and that Frank can get some firepower there if the zombies are giving him trouble, or that there is people that entered the gun store at North Plaza and they never came out so you don't accidentally miss it. And for the Infinite Ammo book, there reasoning I assume is because Saint was a big deal in the original but never had a reward for rescuing basically all the survivors so they gave it that but the problem is it can be to easy if you know what your doing. 7 day survivor is a option but you already get a reward for doing that you could make it a even harder achievement like 10 or 14 days within infinity mode because that is technically doable if it sticks to the originals conventions as WRs of the original goes up to 17 days. But then that can make it so only the best of the best can unlock it if not tuned right which I am not in agreement of. My argument would be getting the S ending as in beating overtime mode, because my reasoning is traditional infinite unlocks are NG+ material after you have fully beaten the game but then people are gonna argue that's even easier then Saint and it doesnt solve Saint's lack of reward. So I think Saint was chosen because it was one of the few big deals in the original that didnt have a reward that does have some difficulty to it without doing more of the same while remaining from being absurdly hard, and isn't a walk in the park over just beating the game fully while giving a serious unlock incentive for saving everyone as a new player. Though I do get its attainment being argued as to easy for what you get because people have to remember if you give the player infinite durability and ammo in Dead Rising any other book around durability increase is basically invalid. As why triple the durability with a specific set of items when you can have Infinite durability, and ammo on top with all items and all in one book rendering triple booking durability for 27x the durability with very specific items even more invalid.
Tbh I think the infinite book is a bit much but I would rather get it for that then 7 day survivor just because the likelihood is most people will do 7 day as the last thing they do and I am one of them people that if I get infinite stuff just to have nothing to do that really gets anything after that I just find it a waste. now ik you can say that you could use it to go even longer in the infinite mode but the thing there is how many people will do that
I'm pretty sure the fireworks book does give a minuscule amount of splash damage. I've hit one zombie in a cluster in the chest and another zombie also died. It's too tight to plan for.

I am going to stick with the original game. This remaster is way too easy. Not even worth the pre order with the bonus skins which all are pretty useless. I mostly skip cutscenes so there's absolute no reason for the extra skins
Great video and yea I was underwhelmed with how easy n censored some of the game got . N just a lot of quality of live missing . Imo game should’ve been remade from ground up. That Infinite Durability book is kinda a disappointment. I got it and still didnt used it. Sure, using crappy weapons like toys or other objects might be tempting but at some point you'll realize you have ran through half of the game with a fucking paint bucket or something and didnt changed it. What I would do is increase durability of ALL the weapons by 2x or maybe 3x. It would probably break the game after stacking it with other durability books, but at least it wouldnt be this OP. Just increase durability and ammo by 2/3x. Pitcher book is kinda a disappointment too. It should increase speed and damage of throwing weapons and deal massive dmg to the enemies.
Also... its a REMAKE... they REMADE what was already there... they added the books yea but they're just buffs essentially... the same as cosmetic things with stats🤔🤔🤔... they have different outfits why not have different things come with em?!? They didn't add new weapons. Why add new healing things

Despite all of its flaws i quite enjoyed the dead rising remake i even platinumed it on my ps5 it felt like i was a kid again for a short bit with all the nostalgia tho i wish they didnt resort to all that censorship that kind of killed the mood a little bit but all in all i had so much fun i hope they do a dead rising 2 deluxe remaster that kind of combines the original story and off the record if possible
I am going to stick with the original game. This remaster is way too easy. Not even worth the pre order with the bonus skins which all are pretty useless. I mostly skip cutscenes so there's absolute no reason for the extra skins
I think one of the truly only new content is the Rocket launcher
Great video and yea I was underwhelmed with how easy n censored some of the game got . N just a lot of quality of live missing . Imo game should’ve been remade from ground up. Certain areas it shines n some it still feels outdated ah lil. Like bad ai sometimes , not being able to throw people over railings / through windows etc. I give it 7.5 / 10. Getting tired of remasters though lol .
Xbox sucks
okay
Why do you talk like that lmao
his ideas are trash too LMAO king salmon durability book? so gas, would love that as a reward.
Also... its a REMAKE... they REMADE what was already there... they added the books yea but they're just buffs essentially... the same as cosmetic things with stats🤔🤔🤔... they have different outfits why not have different things come with em?!? They didn't add new weapons. Why add new healing things
They added a rocket launcher.
Game is remaster.
There's nothing remade.
CB and Spyro are remakes.
RE4 is too.
Remakes are fanmade versions.
Learn what remake means, dum dum.
This game used to be a pain in the ass challenge back in the day, but yes, even without the books or the prisoners' machine gun, is easy as hell, I can't believe I just died once and it was against special forces. This is certainly for new audiences. Disappointment
You can still play the original
@@mariojavier3213 i played it a lot of times already, now im gonna wait for silent hill 2 and stalker 2
@@oswaldoojeda545 Good for you, this game doesn't have all the "modern audience" things the people are telling everywhere but it's ok, in the end it's your personal opinion
@@mariojavier3213 it is for modern audience: it is easy af and censored so they don't complain
@@oswaldoojeda545 Easy? Just like the original xdd and what censor?? 1 character design and 2 lines of dialogue?? Bruh please
