100% agree with everything Also the parents were portrayed in a very sympathetic way. Didn't mentioned Kitty's sexual abuse to Lyle which was in the trial. the actual trial and story is pretty darker than this dramedy. But the sad thing is some people think the abuse is not as bad as it portrayed in this show in actuality it was worse.
I completely agree. The issue of whether Erik is gay is particularly insensitive IMO. The reason is, he did say he was not gay but he did doubt his s3xualiy at some point because he could not understand why this thing with his dad was still going on (in other words, he blamed himself for it). Also, the prosecution used it against him, claiming he could make up the SA stories based on his real experiences with men. Bringing this nonsense back from the 1990s as if it's a fact is so mean.
A little bit of nuance: it is okay to doubt the survivor in some cases to a reasonable degree. For example Jodi Arias claims to be survivor of Travis abuse, but it is him who have died from her hands in a result of clearly planned murder. There are some icky cases, where people lie to try to get away with a crime.
There's also little to no evidence of Travis abusing Jodi but there was evidence of Jodi stalking and harassing Travis. It's not that comparable to the Menendez case.

i agree with you too! i have been watching the court trials and there is so much of their abuse that is not captured in the series.

100% agree! it was so uncalled for, them bringing back this allegation that he stated many times wasn’t true just didn’t need to be put in the show.

Yeah that’s why i said 9 times out of 10 they’re telling the truth. But unfortunately there’s that small percent where people do lie :((
