People have seen trial footage and have become aware of a number of things in the last few years thanks to sharing on social media. Trial testimony is incredibly compelling.. especially those who care about child abuse and trauma.
Not a fan of his current TV shows. I watched the first 2 episodes of Grotesquetie .... boring dialog, and I am not interested in this dark topic. All I can say is ugh!
The only perspectives he showed were the abusers and the people who were against the brothers. Even when their side was being told he quickly followed it up with falsifying it. The “facts” were lies and exaggerations! The perspectives of those who literally lived that story was either silenced or suggested to be false. He is just another person who doesn’t believe them but with the power of film making! Shame on you!
Honestly. He’s right. The show ddnt give the full story on who did They just put things together for us to decide if it’s true or not The hard part was hearing about the abuse. That just isn’t right. I had to skip some parts they were children. It’s a harddd story honestly
Ryan Murphy is a genius. And I praise him for how well he did with this show.. I have been saying this since I first saw the show.. MANY Menendez brothers supporters hate the show for showing actual events that did happen because it doesn’t support their narrative that the boys are 100% innocent victims.. They also say he wasn’t accurate..Well I can say that I’ve researched every theory & fact shown in the show..And they are all true.. If you don’t like the fact he showed the brothers at one point in an incestuous relationship, then you don’t have perspective or an open mind to see what the point of that was.. Which was to show that it was one theory some believed.. not that it was necessarily true.. Just like Erik’s popsicle injury to the back of his throat, that he & the defense team claimed was from SA.. It wasn’t shown as a fact on how it happened, just that it was also a possibility.. They also hate the show because of the shows title. Saying Ryan is insinuating that they are already guilty & considered MONSTERS. That is not what he saying with that title. First of all, he did the show Dahmer, also called, MONSTER. Makes sense that he would title the next with an S, when it involves two defenders.. And I see the title with a question mark at the end. Because to me, he’s saying, he wants you to choose. Are they monsters? Or are they innocent.. And honestly, committing parricide & lying on the stand is a monsterous act. I don’t care how victimized you were.. so the title fits..like or not.. He even did such a detailed job with all the actors looking just like their characters in real life. Down to every person in the court room.. If you don’t like the show, that’s fine. It just means he did a great job showing all the different perspectives & theories & made you have to think twice about their story.. If you haven’t watched the show yet, but plan to, don’t go into it thinking the boys are automatically completely innocent victims..or you won’t like it.. Have an open mind, and get some perspective..👌🏻
I haven't watched the show but I heard that he made brothers into lovers. Why would he do that? It's extremely disrespectful to real people that are already suffered from SA. Good for Erik that\if he didn't watch that
it is false, he didn't do that. it was one scene and suggestion that was made by the famous journalist because these kinds of rumors were there at the time, and Murphy simply showed it as an opinion that was circulating about the brothers at the time, to make it authentic and show the atmosphere surrounding the case, that's all. This isn't any significant theory in the show, nor does it take much time, it's literally one short scene and suggestion, and just as an opinion, not the truth
i liked the series and i totally got what they were doing, but i do know some ppl that watched it same time as i did and were confused especially with the shower scene he mentioned. ppl either dont pay attention which makes sense in this "tik-tok age", or they simply lack interpretational skills

There is no obligation on any filmmaker shooting a movie or series to tell the truth or to be as factually accurate as possible; that has never been a requirement in the entertainment industry. No matter how fond people may be of docu-dramas, as soon as you put the word 'drama' into the project description, fidelity to facts becomes optional.

"It's disgusting that the show implies the boys are monsters, they were sexually abused." And apparently the dad who abused them was also abused by his mum. Yet I don't hear anyone mad at calling him a monster when he was abused, but the same logic works for the boys? They incorporated into the show the rumors about the incestuous relation between the brothers throught the pov of the journalist. So why not doing the same thing with the family members testimony. We had every testimony illustrated and shown to the screen except the one of the family, which has been mentionned with four sentences by the lawyer of Erik.
This method of writing is questionnable that’s all I am saying, and I am not the only one
He should’ve just kept it at Dahmer LOL This one just sucked bad…….
I am looking forward to the Menendez story.
It’s 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
It’s a show. Not a documentary.
Its ryan murphy personal spankbank made public. And the victims are getting their name dragged to through the mud
brilliant show, and it absolutely portrayed brutal abuse, so idk what people are complaining about! The first 5 episodes are brutal and brilliant!, and the rest too, but first 5 are the best
People are complaining because a lot of the show is fabricated, and those men are still alive, trying to appeal their case as new evidence comes out. They have seen the show, and they're mortified at how they were portrayed.
I don’t like it that he made Lyle as a bad person. He makes him a liar like nothing of them ever happened and he’s a good actor who only lied in the court but everyone who saw the real trial know that it couldn’t be possible that everything was played.
Well, well, well. If it isn't dear little old Caillou with his new project, once again profiting off of real tradgies.
Ryan Murphy is like Logan Paul yal. He would totally be one of those individuals to take selfies at his grandmother's funeral.
I’m seriously confused at how people didn’t like this show?? I thought it was incredible
It wasn’t accurate. Painted Lyle like a complete sociopath, and nothing more. Left out so many facts like all of his family (aunts, uncles, cousins) taking the stand and admitting that lyle confessed to them he was being molested when he was still a little boy. So much more…
@@steffe.g.2043I think people are confused you guys are lookin at the show as if their trying to push a narrative I don’t think that’s it Ryan Murphy just said what his intentions were with making the show I’m happy I watched this show without knowing anything about this case because I think people are watching the show with your feelings tied to it instead of just seeing it for what it is this show was made in different perspectives for the watches to choose who the monsters are nothing in that show was made to push a agenda
@@ilovewoe717 and yes actually. He was trying to push a narrative. Shame oh him
@@ilovewoe717agreed
Cuz he portrayed Lyle as an a$$hole and the show is full of fetishes like any of his shows , its seems comedic and dramatic instead of true crime
Seeing their story in the Netflix made me feel pity about this two brothers and i hope theyd be freed for a second chance
Murphy is totally out of line, callous and unprofessional. He should have made every effort to portray the story accurately and not make such terrible embellishments. This is about two brothers' lives whereby they already suffered so much abuse and trauma and making up lies for "entertainment purposes" is disgusting and immoral.
Murphy should apologise for the inaccuracies instead of acting dismissive and arrogant. I really hope he gets cancelled.
The show should've focused on the brothers' perspective not the audience/other people's perspective towards their situation. This is a BIOPIC,, it should be about their story and their perspective not the other way around since it will create a huge misconception about their story WHICH IT DID.
I watched it but my conclusion in the end that the parents are the monters not the brothers.
I’m telling you RIGHT NOW this guy is into CP, I can see it in his eyes
Definitely
Ohhh it’s the Rashomon approach meaning he’ll explore whatever taboos he wants using their lives as the premise. Cool cool
Yep. Same story with different viewpoints
This show is actually smarter than it looks in first few eps.
Monsters The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story Is So Very Incredible At The Same Time So UpSet That They Didn't Go To The Real Life Brothers To Be 100 Perecent InVolve On The Project To Make Sure There Doing Everything Right For Season 2 !
many perspectives of what he’s just making it up he wasn’t there he doesn’t know what happened
speaking about what a man who actually went thru it would think is incredibly stupid dahmer was great but murphy lost all my respect after this new season he ruined any chance of the brothers getting a re trial
Dahmer was real and so were his victims!?
Is there like a secret menendez club that has come out to all these videos slaming the director? It's insane how controversial this is, and how prevalent it is in online discussions on the show.
People have seen trial footage and have become aware of a number of things in the last few years thanks to sharing on social media. Trial testimony is incredibly compelling.. especially those who care about child abuse and trauma.
If the format is so muddled, then why play it all straight [no pun intended]
Not a fan of his current TV shows. I watched the first 2 episodes of Grotesquetie .... boring dialog, and I am not interested in this dark topic. All I can say is ugh!
Perfect response
The only perspectives he showed were the abusers and the people who were against the brothers. Even when their side was being told he quickly followed it up with falsifying it. The “facts” were lies and exaggerations! The perspectives of those who literally lived that story was either silenced or suggested to be false. He is just another person who doesn’t believe them but with the power of film making! Shame on you!
Honestly. He’s right. The show ddnt give the full story on who did
They just put things together for us to decide if it’s true or not
The hard part was hearing about the abuse. That just isn’t right. I had to skip some parts they were children.
It’s a harddd story honestly
I thought it was a good show
They are not fact! You took those “theories” and made it into money for yourself..
You seriously need mental help if you support the incestious vibe , Ryan Murphy is a creep , nothing more
Really? You don't care how victimized they were? And by victimized you mean SA'ed? Do you have kids?
Well you obviously didn't watch the show. They were never lovers in the show.
ryan is masterpiece , in monsters i see his hand and every of his TV shows like no one have...
i liked the series and i totally got what they were doing, but i do know some ppl that watched it same time as i did and were confused especially with the shower scene he mentioned. ppl either dont pay attention which makes sense in this "tik-tok age", or they simply lack interpretational skills
This man is sickk
Monsters could be the Parents or the brothers... You all watch tv shows and didn't get it???
Appalling guy. So untalented. His scripts are written with a thick black sharpie. Any 1980s soap opera has more subtlety and intelligence than any of his dumb shows.
He should be sued for defamation of character 😅
Such an icky man.
Oh look, another reason for me to have left Netflix years ago.
People love to complain about Ryan Murphy but he seems pretty successful. Someone seems to be watching. A lot of y'all just love to hate lol
...try again 🤡
Try what again?? Use your words weirdo @@kondodurham2599
I was expecting something entirely different from what I watched:/
He was able to spice up the story and make it kinky. Probably good for ratings.
oh yeah, i could say the same about Diddy. He is a billionaire, but look at what he did to get there.
I think were it not fit this series no one would even be looking to get the boys outta jail
Great show
Ryan Murphy sensationalized every show he produces. He is not high minded. He worships at the alter of $$$. Plain and simple. Don't take him seriously.
Lost all respect for this guy. BOYCOTT AHS
him and his shows seem so weird and creepy
Ryan Murphy is a very disgusting person! He should be Absolutely shamed and ridiculed for this horrible awful lie of a movie! And All the actors and actresses who participated should be ashamed!! Disgusting
Ryan retire already.
Ryan’s a brilliant film maker 👍👍👍👍
The judge in the show is stupid.
The truth is like a raw cut of meat, and its different perspectives are like the spices one seasons it with. The story is the cooking, and the form is how one cooks it. The show-the finished product-is the dish we get to eat.
Its not his truth, its the truth of the menendez family
Exactly, thank you Ryan for explaining, it was obvious for some of us - with a brain - what you tried to do, and you did it brilliantly! Ignore the absolutely rabid, pathetic blind cheerleaders of the brothers!
Dude, your trolling up in here, Were you even alive when this happened, to see all the coverage and stuff, probably not, Ryan Murphy sucks, like his shows, people are allowed to not like it, we all have brains, although not sure about you!
I liked the show and Ryan Murphy summed it up well how many perspectives are shown. These boys were clearly wronged but they were no angels
They were no angels? Theres no way the show is good if this is the conclusion, they are victims who defended themselves
he’s very arrogant isn’t he
I agree with Ryan. 👏👏👏👏
Love Ryan Murphy I REALLY WANNA WORK WITH HIM!!!!
@@KswaggReacts 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love everything Ryan puts out. At the end of the day, it's a show. Why get your panties in a knot? Just enjoy it for what it is and not compare reality with dramatization. We would never really know what happened in the past so there's no point in fact checking. Because it's all very blurry.
its tv ok?
🤮🤮🤮
Is this dude stupid or what he's in jail he can't watch it Elise watch stuff like on Netflix and stuff cuz he in jail
Ignorant ahh response
He full of 💩 he just want to make money smh
Vampre
❤❤❤
"It's disgusting that the show implies the boys are monsters, they were sexually abused."
And apparently the dad who abused them was also abused by his mum.
Yet I don't hear anyone mad at calling him a monster when he was abused, but the same logic works for the boys?
Abuse is a horrible cycle, and too many people watched this with a black and white view, wabting to out good here, and bad there.
Truth of the matter is none of those people can actually deak with how horribly gray everything can be.
