omg, i butchered the wings, cut right thru the bone :( I'm not posting this video and i feel like I wasted a ton of chicken. It was a learning experience, but I just had a hard time finding the joint.

I know this is 10 years old but seriously? You threw away food because you didn't cut it right? Fucking hell, I hope I misunderstood.

I use a power miter saw, it works really good, even gives the chicken a tasty sawdusty like taste.

Stephanie Manley I'm a low carber, so no breading. I put them in a foil lined baking pan and sprinkled liberally with Slap Ya Mama cajun seasoning. They're currently in there for about 40 minutes at 375. Then I'm going to turn them and put 'em back in for 20 - 30 minutes until the skin becomes crispy. Then out for a bath in Louisiana Hot Sauce and butter.

Stephanie Manley I also put the flippers in the slow cooker with some water and vinegar overnight to have some broth for some vegetable soup tomorrow.

I am so glad I watched this.. I won't buy the "wingettes" again. I couldn't use my hand. But a mallet on the back of the knife was perfect. Thank you!

The trick is finding the joint. In college I cut up more chicken than most people will consume in their entire life. I used to work in a restaurant that didn't want to spend a lot of money on processed parts.

thanks for the tip, but I'll use the palm of my hand to smack the back of the knife...if I use the back of my hand, I'll probably injure a tendon.

LOL, when I heard her say that I rewound to check, and whew, she is actually smacking the knife with the palm of her hand, not the back! At least I have proof I was paying attention... 😁
