I watched this video and strutted into my kitchen with confidence. For the next 45 minutes I taunted fate with a giant knife and salmonella lubed wigglechicken. It's like when the carny can land the ball in the leaning basket and then I pay $5 to make a fool of myself. Either that or Stephanie Manley is some kind of poultry witch.
I promise, while I may have been called a witch before, it was never in the context of cutting poultry. If you take your time I promise you will begin to feel where you can do it.
Wow, so quick and easy to learn by the way you show us and love how you give a bit of background, too. I was able to cut the wings, air fry them, make my own buffalo sauce and have it on the table within 15 minutes. Your instructions were very clear!
Thank you! My Mom was convinced the "drumlet" was NOT part of the wing, i knew it was! Thanks for clearing things up, I'm using your original buffalo wing recipe tonight! 😊 👍
I was in the same boat as your mother, actually in thinking that the drumlet was not part of the wing. After seeing this video, it was a "doh" moment! First time I actually made official chicken wings because of this video. Making these from home is so much easier now!
What a find!! I know how to cut chicken wings but like watching videos like these in case there are additional tips or anything to learn. Plus, it's cool to watch people work in kitchens. I browsed through some of your other vids and am now a subscriber! Thank you for this!
Thank you so much for this video! No stores around me sell prepped wings and I had no clue what to do with the ones they do sell. And most of the videos here show people cooking prepped wings from the start. So thank you thank you again
@@StephanieManley i used this video to cut up my wings and everyone loved them. I cut up 3 packs and came out with 86 wings total. Only four were left after eating. Some seemed to cut easy and some also didnt want to cut for me but i got them all.
So very helpful! I can't wait to try this at home! LOL However, I think it takes a bit of practice, but I feel like after 20 or so wings I will get the hang of finding that "break" in the bones. Thanks for sharing. It's CERTAINLY better than the train wreck of the way I have been doing mine! :)
....I did not know that party wings could be made from cutting up whole chicken wings!! This saved me money. And I have a whole freezer full of whole wings.
Listen here Martha Stewart, nothing about cutting those was easy. I swear, there was nothing but bone. I know you said to find the ridge, but it must be like my love life, non-existent. I was cutting through solid bone. You must be Dwayne the Rock Johnson cause that was solid. Now I have crampy hands. I have cramps in places I didn't know could cramps. In all seriousness, I did get better at finding the ridge. Thank you so much for this video. Very helpful
My son was bragging how he got 50 wings at Costco for only $29. I buy 12 wings at Walmart for $9 and split them myself (The flappers are yummy to munch on if you air fry them to a crisp) so I get 24 for $9 = 72 for $27 Split wings are MUCH cheaper if you split them yourself.
She must have Valyrian steel
MF DOOM 🤣🤣
dis bish is goddam jon snow
OMG I just saw this! It wasn't Valarian steel. BTW, still recovering from that horrible ending.
@@StephanieManley i tried doing what you did and i couldnt cut through it with all my strength
@@skooterkooter2876 you have to get it in the right spot! I promise if you get in the joint, it is easy.
That is the hardest flex I've heard hahaha "I could probably do this package in about, a minute and 30 secs". Love it!
😂 stunting on em!
She either has godlike precision or she's using the Blade of Woe
I am laughing so hard at this
It’s a Home Smart Knife. I have one as well and they are sharp as hell.
Thanks for making the video nice short and simple not like the other youtubers
You are welcome!
This was so easy! Thank you for sharing. I've never broken down wings before and after the first one it was super easy.

I was making this much harder than it needed to be. Thank you, Stephanie! I’ve got it now.

This saved me so much money! I'm always going to cut my own wings from now on! Thanks!
Making wings for the super bowl and needed to know how to do this. Thank you so much!
Reading about it (elsewhere) is not well explained. Watching & listening to you (on/at RUclips) is so easy peasy. Thanks.
A whole package in a minute/minute half? You're a monster. Thanks for the video, about to make wings for the first time in my life.
this will save on cooking time, money spent per pound and a new skill to use in the kitchen! thank you!
It took me 30 seconds to learn. Fabulous. Thank you so much it was informative ❤️

Wow very easy to cut. Thanku AUNTY
Thank you so much! Also the music in the background was such a plus ❤️
I love that she didn't say to just throw away the flapper. But to use it.
That's right, those flappers make great stock!

Imma gonna give ita try in two hours. Going Hooters style cause I like hooters. Super Bowl Sunday today. Go Wings!
The last time I was in Hooters they cut wings like everyone else :(
Very helpful! Felt kind of weird that I had to youtube how to do this, but apparently I'm not the only one! ;)

It's really pretty easy todo.

Glad it was helpful!
Hi Stephanie,
If you do cut through bone is that going to have an impact on cooking or quality?
Thank you! Made it super easy this time.
Sitting in my bed and i needed this 😭
so simple, save a buck, will look at your other recipes
+for a simple life who doesn't love saving a buck or two?

I just mangled my wings for super bowl Sunday....then I watched this video. 😂
same
that's a good knife!!!
thanks!!!
Well done. Thank you.
Just what I needed to know 🥰
Super! Wings are so expensive right now!
I just can't figure this out. Wasted 3 pounds of chicken wings trying to cut them. I end up always cutting through the bone
Would you happen to have a vid on chicken stock with the flapper?
I love wings, and this is how I do them, although I use a very sharp meat cleaver instead of a chef knife.
Is bet that works too!
They call it the flapper? I've only ever heard wing tip. Maybe it's a regional thing, though.
Damn girl. You can cut all that chicken in 90 seconds 👩🏻🍳
great video thanks!
Thanks
