Dan...you saved the day for me! I was about to send my two recently purchased 560-iii flashes back because it initially appeared they couldn't be controlled by the YN560-TX, and the instruction manuals, as you mentioned, aren't much help. After watching your video, I was able to successfully set up my new flashes and control each one individually, which was why I bought this particular Yongnuo model. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!!

Thanks for video - I've had the TX since Christmas and have loved it - couldn't find my instructions to add an additional YN560III and your video saved me some time. On a side note - Since all my 560 III's are used exclusively with the TX now... I just labeled them a, b, c, d, etc.

Great video - helped my set up a lot. To remember what flash is what I put a different colour piece of tape around the base above the ring, and another same colour around the lower part of the head. On the side of my trigger on my camera, I put a small piece of the same colour on the side and write a number on it as well. Red Yellow and Green is where I start (street lights) top is one, yellow 2 - green 3, etc. I can just look at a flash and know what one is where. Just a pointer for ya.

Got the act displayed on the transmitter, got the blue light, got everything to display on the 560III and pressed okay but not sure which buttons/how to select the group number on the 560III. So, while I'm pondering, the 560III reverts back. It is the simplest nonsense that drives me crazy. ---- Figured out one! On to the next one.

@Diego in order for you to use a flash as a trigger pick up a 560 IV but they don't have the TTL feature . The 560IV has the TX transmitter built in. I believe you can only set up 3 groups but you can put as many speed lights as you like in a group. Hope this helps

So, I'm coming from using the pocket wizards, which are very expensive, and I thought maybe this might be a more intuitive solution! By using the RX capabilities already available with my YN560 III flashes. The coolest part about the pocket wizard, is that you're able to set up groups that fire independently and cycle through with each shutter. This way you can set up 3-4 lighting setups and when you're ready to go, alternate lighting setups and styles without moving anything or any downtime. This is manly used for photobooth style work where you're constantly changing subjects and don't need to move location. I thought this would be possible but each group "a, b, c," are all firing at the same time, and I guess it's not going to cycle though groups per fire as it is.

Hi. Im new to flash photography. I have two questions:
    1. What is the difference of using "YN560 III 's and YN560-TX" kit with "YN560 IV 's and YN560-TX" kit. Is the later kit any better or can do any more things? I myself dont really see any difference between the two kits if using the same setup in this tutorial (all flashes are off-camera)
    2. YN560IV = YN560III + YN560-TX, correct? If so, what's the benefit of using the YN 560-TX instead of using YN560 IV as a YN-560TX ?
    Thanks

i also have the aputure trigger and reciever....the flash only works with the YN560-TX when in multi mode and RF turned on. Then my aputure trigger doesnt work. if i turn off the RF, then the aputer trigger works and not the YN560-TX. Is there a way to have both turned on at the same time ?
i guess i should give a reason....two cameras....the YN560 to control the flashes and the other camera just shoots at same settings

I know this video is a few years old now, but I have one question I'm trying to get answered and can't figure it out for the life of me. I am a rookie when it comes to real estate photography only shooting my own listings and a couple other agents. I've gotten by with bracketing exposure and layering in PS but have recently purchased a 560-IV which I want to be able to hold in my hand and point wherever I need to while away from the camera and trigger the shutter and light. What do I now need to purchase to do this? Thank you so much for any help you can give me. I'm clueless when it comes to triggers/receivers/transmitters/transceivers or whatever!

    Question please:
If i take the YN560-TX off the camera and press "test" flash button ...
will it trigger the other flashes
This would be useful as i could take the YN560-TX off the camera and
walk up to subject with my sekonic light meter, trigger the flash and
not need a sync cord plugged in
This would be a good work around for Nikon D500
