Thank you.The max. stretches on one string are 1- b3-b5, but when jumping strings its a 6, or a 4 or 3+ to adjacent strings, hence the chaotic and random sound. it is not a lick, by the way, I coudn't and wouldn't play the same thing twice, although i can create a similar sound by usin those intervalic ideas.
Thank you chaps, but please let me remind you this is just Holdsworth inspired, as opposed as trying to sound like him, for which I made a very conscious effort about 10 years ago. But I think is cool to get this type of sound out of a thin line telecaster.
in the holdsworthian lesson he's playing a conklin 7 string AMAZING guitars an older video he actually uses a carvin holdsworth which he still has cause he has a video showing most of the guitars he owns but his main guitar is his vigier shawn lane master signature guitar unlike carvin holdsworth's semi flat radius it has a completely flat radius and super low action perfect for that type of playing
@metricsinmotion Thanks for the comment man, but once again, I have never ever heard that beef cherokee theme. It is just me farting around, a bit sloppily I might add.
I am curious to hear what that riff sounds like, never heard it before, but I've listened to many Holdsworth tracks before, although copying his solos note by note became boring after a while. I had to make an effort to stop trying to play and sound like him.
@Steven4466 watch marshall harrison's holdsworthian legato lesson it's the closest thing to holdsworth tone and technique wise i've heard to date and he also does a lot of the shawn lane type stuff as well VERY proficient player
This is absolutely out of this world, and I love it!
Keep on the great work!
That was very cool, love this intervals!

@rodjoe2001 I too use a thin line telecaster. Mine has humbuckers though. Gotta love 'em.
