He started a new job today, after almost a year of being unemployed, and we didn't have money for a professional cut. He really wanted to look he best for his first day, and he does! My asd kid hates electric clippers, it's like a war in the barber shop, at least 3 people are holding my son just to get a haircut. So he looks like a girl for the past 6 years. I had to learn this technique so I can cut my son's hair. I learned a new skill and my son now loves the fresh haircuts from dad ❤

I'm terrible at haircuts. I did a decent job! I took it to far up but it still looks good. I just graduated cosmetology school and this is actually a better step by step that they show at school
it really depends who the teacher is. you can go to great school but if they person teaching isnt doing a great job its a waste of time. some people are good at giving over techniques very well. we all learn really well from them.including this one

just once, i would love to see instruction on cutting boy's hair that is thick. My son's practically have horse hair, its so thick and i find using scissors on it hopeless.
I don't know how old your child is but I also have two sons on the spectrum and it was very tough at first when they were little. We would use clippers while my husband would hold them down. We also used to give them tablets or put relaxing music. Anything to distract them. They are now 11 and they will just sit there and let us do whatever. Or we can take them to a barber without yelling or screaming! Good luck!
