      Well, damn, I bought mine 4 or 5 years ago and still haven't opened it 😂 I should have waited til now, because I think I might have paid closer to 200 for mine ..maybe 175, it was on some kind of sale, I think.
      I've seen it weld 1/4" on videos; have you done it, and have those welds held up over the years? I'd like to do some trailer work with it. Either way, I'm gonna try it and see for myself, but I'd like to hear some practical experience of longevity with real world use.

    I've had mine going on 5 years and it still amazes me how well this little unit runs. Also, it fits perfectly into a milk crate, which keeps it from getting banged up. I cut one vertical section, about 3", to help the gun and ground clamp slip in and out of the crate when starting or stopping for the day. Run the power cord back in the same hole you fed it out from, and its self contained. I used the strap to go from one corner diagonally across the crate to the other. Makes it super easy to transport around. I even cut a 3/16" plywood top so the machine is proteced on every side.

    • @-DIYPRO-

      It will run and draw what ever amps the settings are on. If it pulls more than 15 then it will trip the breaker. It will do if running on the higher settings. Just know you won't be able to run it maxed out.

      I've done some deep diving into Harbor Freight, their tool quality, and marketing recently (after this video) and I have to agree. HF has done a 180 from 10 years ago and are actually putting out decent stuff.

    • @arfreeman11
      @arfreeman11 5 месяцев назад

      I agree with this on many things. I used their 1/2 and 3/8 impact sockets for over a decade in a shop. I had to replace the 19mm after about 10 years because I cracked it getting a swollen lug nut out of it. HF didn't even hesitate. Their warranty doesn't technically cover commercial use, but they didn't even ask. I was in uniform.
      Their titanium welders are all known to be good quality.
      I've been abusing their 23 gallon air compressor for over a decade. My jack is about the same age.
      The only tool I've managed to kill is a high speed air grinder that I probably could have fixed, but it was cheap to replace.
