  • Follow along with one of my favorite 'Silk Reeling' exercises from the Chen Tai Chi Xin Jia Yi Lu also known as the 83 form. The clip is taken from my live online Xin Jia Yi Lu (83 form) class.
It is vital to understand that silk reeling is not a set of fixed exercises but a method of movement with certain requirements. Any movement from the form can be taken and performed as a silk reeling exercises as long as you are working towards putting the correct method of movement into the exercise/drill and not just waving your hands about. When performing the form, you are silk reeling.
This clip is taken from one of our live Tai Chi classes. If you'd like to join check out the weekly schedule at taichi.school/..., or just email aamir@taichi.school.
