Honestly, this exceeded my expectations and I would have no reservations about using one again.
I have one on my boat. As some added security I used some 3M5200 sealer around the edges to help seal out water from getting to the glue and to help secure the pad to the transom. Just like adding Caulk to a bathtub.
Not a bad idea!
You’re using the same garmin I just picked up! I’m thinking of doing the tape like you’re showing. Is it still going strong?
Yeah the stern pad worked really well!
It looks like it’s too close to the prop
What depth finder can I use with this specific transducer? Thanks
Was this the standard size mount? I see they make a larger one for 3D scan transducers?
Yes, I would recommend the larger size if you have a larger transducer, makes a big difference.
Did you have to wait sometime before take it out on the water?
The adhesive is usually good to go pretty quick, I'd give it 24hrs at most
I just bought an aluminum boat which came with a basic Lowrance depth finder. The dealer attached it directly to the transom of the boat. I questioned the service dude and he said they sealed it with silicone. The dealer has been in business for over 50 years. They should know.
Somebody is trying to sell you something.you really don't need.
Congrats on having holes in your boat… lol
👍👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So... two months later how's it working out for you? Is it still there? Amazon has a bunch of reviews saying it's really easy to strip out the screw holes... care to comment? Do you remember what sort of screws you used?
It held perfectly, no issues at all. Yes, the material is softer so you can strip them out very easy if you use a power drill, I made sure to only hand tighten with a screwdriver to avoid that!
Looks great man!
Thank you!
I think your transducer is mounted backwards.
Only one way to mount them :)
@@mvboutdoors My bad! It just looked, the way the wire was bending backwards, like it was incorrect.
