Love the diversity in story types on this list!! I also loved Icarus, she truly never disappoints. And I can't wait to check out your other faves because I just know I am going to love them. My favourite SFF book of 2024 was Asunder by Kerstin Hall. And non-SFF probably Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez or A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams! 🤩
You're the only other person I've seen that has talked about the Gael Song trilogy. I ate that series up so fast! I am stoked to read the next book this author puts out.
Always look forward to your end of year favorites video! I think I’ll definitely have to try the Gael song trilogy now. One of my 2024 favorites was The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. It definitely took me by surprise by how much I enjoyed it.
Such a great list. I'm really looking forward to reading The Morgan Le Fay series and finishing up the Gaelsong series. I found it really hard to pick a favourite book last year...I think it was possibly Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson...partly because it was just what I felt like reading at the time during mid November, cold days , dark night. Such an epic, chunky read. But I also loved Thornhedge by T Kingfisher. Which is on the opposite end of the scale. Really short but sweet.
Always love when a favorites list is a surprise to the reader! It means that branching out paid off, which is always a delight. I’m near done with the first of Gaelsong and it was your review that inspired me to finally pick it up, which I have to thank you for, and after this video I think I need to bite the bullet on K Ancrum as well. I hope 2025’s reading is off to a good start for you!

I’m so glad you’re liking Gael Song!☺️
I loved Morgan is my Name and its sequel -- never heard anyone else talk about them!
