Leica Q3 Video Tests (Early Look)

- Recorded in 8K 30fps on the Leica Q3. This video showcases the footage and quality of the camera. Most Q3 videos online don't have sample video, so here it is. If the video only displays in 4K then RUclips probably did not want the 8K to go through, at least you can see how it looks tho.
I previously owned a Q and switching to a Q3 and using it was a new experience altogether.

How do you edit 8K video? After rendering with DaVinci the quality is very poor.
Thanks for sharing, I'm primarily a video shooter but enjoy Leica cameras and lenses. It's hard for me to spend thousands of dollars on a camera that doesn't shoot video because I can always use a locked down shot for my gigs. Clean 24/30 FPS 4K and 8K capability in L Log as a C or D cam works for me! I mean if we're spending $6K on a Q3 why not have video? Doesn't have to be Red or Alexa quality but a 10bit with log profile works for me:)

May I ask what you think of the video stabilization? Especially in 4k 60p. Like is it still quite shaky when handholding or you find it ok
The stabilization is still shaky for me, I had to Warp stabilize some of the footage to make it work for me.
@@PaoloPV oh, may I ask when you were testing, if OIS was on auto or on? Im wondering if auto even utilizes ois since a bunch of examples im seeing on youtube looks as if theres no stabilization
Thanks for making this. I ordered one, will not use it for video though unless there is a scenario where I need to record something important at that moment. Other than that, it's just going to be for photos. Are you able to make some of the RAW files available to inspect and play with in photoshop?

Um … video looks terrible. Looking like a photo camera only.
The guy who made this doesn't know what he is doing. No ND filter, no recording in LOG to get better dynamic range. Poor representation of the camera.
Shaky. jittering, Colors are horrible, exposure is not right. I dont know why anyone would buy a 6000$ Camera for shit video quality...
More the person shooting the video rather than the camera, he didn't shooting in LOG at all.
I don't think most people would buy it as a primary video camera but it's nice to have the feature. I mean why not? I think if your using it in Log mode and locked down on a tripod it should produce decent results. I'm not sure of moire would be an issue with such a high mega pixel count?
