- The Manhattan psychiatrist who prosecutors say became a murderous mastermind is going to prison. Pamela Buchbinder pleaded guilty for her role in the plot to kill the father of her child, who somehow survived after he was bludgeoned and stabbed multiple times.

Once again the courts completely fails to fully protect the victim in the long the term, and doesn't punish the perpetrators NEARLY enough. Such evil premeditation should warrant a life sentence, and there's no sane reason why the punishment should be less than that of a murder just because this woman and the assailant failed in their attempt. WTF is wrong with our "justice" system?
"Punishment" is neither the purpose of the legal system nor of penology. Religion has nothing to do with it.

Okay first, there’s no question that she loves her son? She tried to have his father killed. Second, her cousin having bipolar disorder is not at all an excuse. They were in this together and they both should have been sentenced for far longer than they were. Just because a murder attempt was unsuccessful doesn’t make the crime any less than if it had been successful.

This monster isn’t getting enough time. She has changed so many lives because she wanted to be selfish. Kids are only small for a very short time and now she has ruined a lot of her child’s memories over some BS.
The husband is absolutely right to say she will try again. She has been in jail for years and instead of remorse she is trying to take down other prisoners and the jail staff saying K2 smoking was going on. Even if it was she knew what her privilege a$$ was doing.
While she is in jail she is going to plan her next attack. I just hope he will be lucky the second time around.
Right. I worked in a maximum security prison for several years. Saw a few inmates take advantage of resources offered to learn a trade, finish high school, even university, get therapy, etc. They kept their heads down, stayed busy, & led good lives after release. But most were made worse-more brutal, devious, destructive, mental illnesses worsening. They learn cruelty from their fellow inmates just to survive. I saw things there I wish I could forget & have never told even my family. She doesn't ''love'' her son & will only damage him more when she contacts him, which she certainly will. I hope the dad is pursuing this issue further through the child protective services. Any child psychiatrist will back him up, I think.
