My ancestors did, too, although I think it was farming along the Western Borders to farming in upstate NY to Norwalk, Connecticut where they had a pharmacy by their name for about 70 years. Plus farming and such. My great-granddad was a mailman, my grandfather majored in chemistry and eventually was educated as an attorney. He worked for the Justice Department in the 1950’s. Dad Dad lived to the age of 94. Kind and smart man, glad my sister and I were able to know him as an adult ~ may he RIP.
