its there as a break in period so your car doesn't break from you flooring it.even at 500 miles it can still explode, so you probably shouldn't abuse it instantly
It won't explode just because you go too hard during the break in period. It's to extend the life of many parts on the car not prevent it from blowing up.
Any engine can 'explode' at any time for a variety of reasons. I agree with what you say, but I just could not resist. Also, next month is the 6 month mark and I already have it set up for a trade in. Going from Carbon Flash Metallic to Red Mist. Thanks for watching 👍
Patrick, you are right. Nothing prevented me from reving past 5500 during break in. Actually, a few times, it did go higher. The reason for adhering to the break in period is if something goes wrong GM can't deny repairs for failure to follow proper break in procedure. Thanks for watching. 👍
