I just bought the SV20C and set it up next to my 1978 JMP 100 watt head which was a super bass but converted to a master volume. I had the 100w on 4 which is where I have it set to play in a 4-5 piece rock band and to get the small combo to the same volume I had that on 4.5! Unbelievable how load these are, I had the 2 channels jumpered #2 channel on 6 and #1 channel on 3.
I was just wailing through my JTM Studio to a 10 minute track of Who Knows. lol. Just a strat, the amp, and a delay out front. Best amp I've ever owned.
you nailed the sound when you showed the sliver J. toward the end of the video you laid down some clean tone blues licks. Just wow. haven't heard it like that since Hendrix.
I gave up my fenders a while ago. The sound I heard in my head was a cranked Marshall. Early Hendrix was 45/100 later was a mix of Super Lead and Bass. I mix a jtm 50 and 50w bass. The bass is a little more “clean”, yet adds that thickness often missed in the Super Lead circuit due to the bright cap He did experiment with some fenders, Sunn, and acoustic amps, but always returned to the Marshalls
Also, contrary to common practice and belief, don’t jump the channels. It muddies the sound quite a bit. When cranked. If you look at old photos of the greats, most didn’t jumper them because of this.
You don’t need an attenuator Jcm 800 sounds best with the gain maxed out master volume on three or four with a pedal and even without pedal cleans are nice and fat. It doesn’t take much to give you overdrive actually sounds great with just about any overdrive pedal.
You have to jump the plexi it has four inputs so jump bottom left to top right input plug guitar into bottom right input adjust knobs to taste... And there .... welcome to tone...😎 Your friend Joe a.k.a "Commander Obvious " 😆
I've got the Marshall Origin 50 and I keep it cranked along with my AC30. Yeah. I'm that kinda dude. LOL! I pair my Marshall with a Morgan AC20 2x12 cab with a creamback and alnico blue. Oh man that thing sounds awesome.
Holaa, usamos el plexi en 20w sin atenuacion, en realidad no tiene taanto volumen para un espacio chico mediano, va casi justo incluso le falta. Saludos! ruclips.net/video/IUq26D-7q5Y/видео.html
Is it just me or is the plexi / super lead the best looking amp head of all time?
They are so coool!! Ⓜ️🫠
Definitely cool looking but I have a thing for orange and mesa boogie
Jtm45 for me sorry
Nah, Morgan and Friedman look far better, and having owned a few Marshall’s sound better too.
@@johnblack9037 I need to look into Friedmans

I can't decide which one I like more! The vintage Plexi SV20H or the classic JTM ST20H... Both sound amazing!
Nice Rocky Balboa faces whilst playing, sv head is my fab!

I've got the plexi and its killer! Try the JTM with creambacks, suits it nicely and it's actually the one marshall pairs them with ;)
Great playing, great demo
We call them "power cables".
Have fun with all those!
That plexi sounds amazing with a Strat

Can’t believe you didn’t jumper the channels on the 2 vintage style Marshall’s.
Plexi sounds killer! I'd go for the jtm though as it's the best pedal platform of the 3.

The squelch people hear n these vids is also caused by the attenuators. I’ve tried them all. They just do it 🤷🏻♂️
I love 800 so much!
You guys need to get your hands on a PRS HDRX.
Great playing, that SV20H is on my wish list, and loved the gurning! 😄😎🤘
You should've jumpered the two channels...
Loving seeing you guys have success. Very cool
So nice man. now you can make a doyle bramhall ll vidio with that plexi. I assume you have a zonk machine too? would have been cool. cheers mate 😎
Y’all should try making amps for that Stevie and Hendrix sound.

All of those Marshall studio heads are killer, but tell us where you bought the badass strap and what's the name of it?.
I told you the plexi is great. 🔥
The Marshall plexi is "The Marshall Sound." Just look at your face when you let rip! It picked you!!

You can run all those amps at 5 watt. But they're still really loud 😂😂
