Without meaning to sound disrespectful, I do feel this first "tip" was kinda aimed at a certain Swedish player, who seems to get a lot of shade when he plays blues. Not everyone feels the same & isn't "feeling" what blues is all about? "Overplaying" is surely relative? I mean, look at SRV, Eric Johnson, or Dan Patlansky. They play fast A LOT. Is that overplaying? How would one even recognise it? Help, please.
You're taking on these tips, too, right? Diversifying your pick attack is extremely important. Smoothing it out, releasing that caveman grip and loosening your body instead of constantly hacking away and choping out notes while being stiff as a board.
Great examples of the 'blues grimace' on all the big bends. Essential for authenticity, mate. Great video.
I was underplaying today, it is most enjoyable and lets everything breathe.
Brilliant advice with excellent guitar playing.

i think those greats can break the rules because they mastered them before
The faster you play, the further you get from being a blues guitarist.
@@asarcadyn2414to a degree
@jam1ecs who makes "the rules" though? As I said, what about feeling?
@asarcadyn2414 wow. There's a lot of people who you wouldn't consider "blues" then?
Nice
