Superb ..... Your best video yet ... Because of this film , I have booked Gothenberg - Stockholm - Narvik - Lulea - Stockholm in September ..... Thank you ...
If you have booked around the 10th of September you are lucky. The birch trees goes yellow then and the valleys and hills are amazing in it's autumn glory. Later the may hav fallen off and the snow has come.
Nice video with familiar views - I grew up in a town along the line. As regards several stations along the line abandoned - it's really not because of the road (E10), which was built 1977-1982. Those stations were mainly built for the sake of the railway; there were really no villages surrounding them. As a young man my father worked for the railroad company in the late 40's; the salary and the living standard were good but there was absolutely nothing one could do except working and resting (apart from enjoying the magnificent nature of course).
With the water reflecting the blue of the sky plus the full sun, the landscape is spectacularly beautiful---and barren!! Wonderful photography.
At 11.00 min you didnt mention the nice view you get of "Lapporten", The Laponian gate, from Björkliden. I walked through it once on a week long hike around the Abisko mountains
Excellent video , beautiful landscapes
Such amazing and quiet story) thank you so much!
20:31 Indian Railways appears. Nice.
Thank you for the ride, the sun setting was breath-taking
Lovely view of the sunset from stylish hotel lobby and patio.
Thanks for the exact information too !!!🥸
Great, love it.😁😁❤❤
20:28 Easter Egg from India... Lol! In the Indian film, there is a simuliar "mishape'.... Btw: most "stations" on the route are passing loops with buildings for people who maintain the railway. Hardly any housing around them, certainly not enough for a regular passenger service. I do recall a "service for personal"--train running out of Narvik in the '80's when I was there.
Thank you - superb video.
It brought back happy memories of visiting Luleå and Gulliväre, towards the end of 2020. I stayed in Luleå - in the same hotel as you, actually - and made the journey up to Gulliväre and back, just to say I'd been north of the Arctic Circle, really. I would have got the Narvik to Luleå train back, then the sleeper to Stockholm later.
I will make it to Narvik one day, I'm sure 🙂
Be interesting to see the same trip in the midst of a winter storm... People who live and work in that part of the world have to be tough as nails.
Wow!! Gorgeous!!
Another excellent video - thank you.
Thanks for the trip and video. I really enjoyed.
Fantastic video - thank you. I hope you enjoyed your trip!!
Very nice!🤝
I think the -9 departure early is probably due to the train stopping just for disembarking passengers at that station.
Nice video sir
13:05 i see that this "mistakes" in naming stations are kinda reach increasers for your films - it's not the first time... So now i'm increasing the reach though ;) Should be Abisko Oestra
Thank you! Your videos are very nice. I guess you may be aware, but not everybody know that VY actually is the former Norwegian State Railways, NSB. They now run the train services from Stockholm and to northern Sweden, and Narvik/Luleå.
And it's kind of funny, as the Swedish State Railways, SJ run the train services in Norway, from Oslo and via Trondheim, all the way up to Bodø in northern Norway.l
Excellent video, thank you. You must have a lot of excess footage of Indian railways, though.
ALLAHUAKBAR.. BEAUTIFUL LOCATIONS
Lovely video, thanks. (But check out @ 20.29 .... think some footage from Indian Railways has crept in for a few seconds. Lol!)
just checking if people are watching my videos carefully ))))
@@doc7austin Hahaha! Yes, I'm alert, awake, and watch your videos right through to the end! Best wishes.
