OMG!!! I finally found it. I've been trying to track down this show for years. I've tried to explain it to others to see if anyone remembered what it was. This is why I draw!!! I was beginning to think it was a Mandela effect fragment. This makes me so happy. We lived in a rural area with crappy reception and this was one of those things that truly captivated me as a little guy. Thank you for posting this.

I am 38 years old now. Grew up in Lagos Nigeria 🇳🇬. My mum used to make us watch these as kids. Always called the show Commander Mark. My elder brother just asked me the name of this show, as my nephews are now 6 years and 2 years old and want them to learn to draw. Googled "Commander Mark draw draw draw" and this popped up. It brought tears to my eyes. My mum is late now but watching this brought back so many nostalgic memories of my Childhood. Thank you Commander Mark for touching the lives of millions of kids all over the 🌎

Yeah, this brought me to tears also. This is someone who shaped one of the biggest parts of my life. I used to RUN home from school to watch this. And record it and re-watch it. Over and over. And over.

I love this man’s energy. Plus, his teaching is different from others. He doesn’t just show a tutorial of how to draw a random character or landscape, it’s random simple stuff, but it seems to really hammer the fundamentals.

I grew up in the mountains and this was only show on the uhf. Years later - mapper on several platforms. I create in his style - just start here... This man is Mr Rodgers of art. It should be noted he was followed next block by Bob Ross. Everything about this pure happy. PBS for the win.
Yea both of them - Happy little triangles with my paints :D
Also apologies for making 'likes' = 421. PBS = education. Make a donation, losers.
