Just for everyone's info.. Jerry has to pay a $200 tax stamp for his Right Index finger... Its also listed as a NFA item... LOL Good Stuff Jerry.. Love It..
Former US Federal Agent and a firearms instructor at Quantico. I have been shooting now for 55 plus years. I pick up things from Jerry every time despite having worked with a dozen national and internation IPSC and IDPA champions. Jerry you are the Godfather of shooting sports!!!! Thank you again!!!
Mr. Miculek is the uncle/grandpa we all wish we had. He always leads with safety and gives us incredible insights into the years of knowledge he has obtained.
Jerry I’m a sixty year old retired defense engineer…. Just found you just started shooting a couple years ago and I gotta tell ya in a real manly wayI LOVE YA BROTHER
This guys cadence and mechanical rhythm is astounding! Drummers could make perfect drum beats to this guys rhythmic firing processes. Dude is locked on!
Caveat about ammo weight: make sure you take a look at your twist rate and your barrel length. 77gr-69gr tends to run well out of super long, or super short barrels. 16" barrel, 55-62gr is good to go
As always Jerry is very safe on the range with chamber flags. The double up on hearing protection is not something that i have ever seen anyone else address, except for the other Miculek family members. As our British cousins might say, hypothetically, jolly good show Mr Miculek !
@@garywboisseau As the grandson of a very well armed Brit, I can tell you not all of them are. Their laws are fucked for acquiring guns but they got us on suppressor laws. Along with pretty much the rest of Europe.
This is one of the best informative, well thought out and enjoyable videos I have seen on RUclips. I am not into the competition scene, but this video inspired me to practice such. Thankyou!
Thanks Jerry! Video suggestion - you talked about rifle recoil control, and how most people hold the rifle too tight, and how you need to find the balance. This was too brief, but very interesting. Could we get a longer deep dive video on this subject? Also, preferably you could demonstrate all this on a rifle without a competition muzzle brake on it? Thanks!!
This is the second video in a row of him I’ve watched and in both videos I noticed that the frame rate of the cameras are too slow to catch all of his shots…that’s impressive.
Thank you Mr Jerry. We are honored to be able to learn from a true icon as yourself, and lucky that you are almost as good an instructor as a marksman. And that is by no means a slight on your teaching skills.😂
Everything Jerry said including the knowledge he shared is 1000% accurate…. As a combat marine I know an expert when I see one…real world dooshes, concealed draw idiots, or rifle drills by morons…. it makes me 100% confident that Jerry is the one to listen to….
Extremely valuable tips here. What a great example of firearm safety!! I could watch this fella all day. Thank you so much sir. Badast man to ever hold a gun bar none..🫡
The bolt only stays open on empty mags and intentionally activating the bolt catch. When he pulled the bolt to open out the flag, the bolt closed and had when a mag was loaded the bolt had to be re-actuated
Habit. Some don't like to use the bolt release button. Alot of people, especially ex military, are drilled to pull back the charging handle and release.....I was told that's also how you clear a jamb, so it simplifies the manual of arms.
7:30 ...........Contrary to what he says, he is sweepting the safety off as soon as he hears the shot timer, not when the rifle is parallel to the ground.
Just wondering. Did the AFT ever or wanting to take Jerry’s Finger/Hand? He the fastest. Or maybe register his shooting hand? Just like they wanna make a piece of plastic ( brace) illegal. And register are pistol brace.
I would love to get really good at shooting but living in California it is tough. Unless you live in the sticks there is not a lot of places to train and getting ammo here is terrible. Also getting upgrade parts here is not the easiest…
Awesome tips. And if you will be talking to someone from Armalite you can tell them it would be good idea to rebrand to LSR 15 (Light Sporting Rifle) ;-)
The smart thing to do would be to eschew the mass produced weapons designed specifically to kill and maim en masse (school children more often than not) demonstrated here and pursue a hobby that requires some grace, reflecting gentlemanly comportment, that rewards skill. Even Dick Cheney failed to kill his companion with sportsman's shot gun.
Like chess or billiards, my man? Please consider that this man is demonstrating how you or a law enforcement officer should employ that weapon to stop a school shooter. Women and children can afford to be foolish. Men cannot.
Are you an actually moron or try really hard to act like one? Dick Cheney didn't kill his friend because he wasn't trying to, and it was birdshot. Do you even realize how destructive a 12 gauge buck shot shotgun is?
And leave them exclusively in the hands of governments, which collectively worldwide killed around 100 million of their own (disarmed) people during the 20th century? (excluding losses in open warfare) Actual random mass homicides (not multiple casualty gang shootings) are one of the least common causes of death. Go preach to the kids in karate classes about their violent sport, while they learn responsibility, self control, and sportsmanship.
His snapping onto targets is insane. Dudes an absolute legend.

Lmao, rs tho I think back in 1998 he set the world record for the fastest shooter with a revolver
Would not shock me.
That stopped being funny 10 years ago guy!! Lol 😂👎👎👎

I noticed that when I shoot one handed on pistol and grip too tightly, my hand will start shaking. So i back off a little to 70% tight
Excellent work!!! Awesome instructions, thanks!
How did I not know about the coolest older guy other than me!? LOL Jerry is THEE MAN!

Thank you Sir! Much appreciated, as always.

He does a shotgun video where his finger is faster than the gun. It was crazy.

Great Video , Thanks Jerry 🙂

How wonder how many rounds Mr. Jerry has shot.. sir, u are a legend..
He addresses that in another video. Roughly just over 1 million he reckons.
Jerry's my teacher.
Legend!
That's one smooth S&W rifle. Like to know details to make it run like that.
Change everything from the eternals to the barrel to another manufacturer's.

Stupid question, why did he need to pull the charging handle after loading the mag? Wasnt the bolt open already when the flag was in the chamber?

Music to my ears.
Hey Jerry what legth gas tube do you prefer to run for your 3gun AR?

Do you actually buy your own ammo and gear or are you sponsored since you have been doing this forever?

You need to check on that status. AR's are not the most used in mass shootings, it is pistols by a large margin.
And leave them exclusively in the hands of governments, which collectively worldwide killed around 100 million of their own (disarmed) people during the 20th century?
