I remember how we all loved My Sharona at the time. I had no idea that he passed. Very sad that he had so many professional and health obstacles in his life, he was extremely talented.
The Knack released two more albums after Serious Fun: Zoom in 1998, and Normal as the Next Guy in 2001. Both are fairly decent albums. My favorite Knack album is Round Trip because they experimented with various music genres on that album.
I was a record dealer meet Bruce Gary at a Beatle fest record show in the mid-90s being a drummer myself he and I hit it off he bought a lot of beatle bootlegs from me very nice guy 👍
Excellent video, good morning from Melbourne :) l remember when My Sharona was released, it was phenomenally successful and it still stands out. I remember them being marketed as “the new Beatles”, which I don’t think really helped them. The album cover photo featuring the actual subject of the song My Sharona, oh boy was it controversial. They were a bright spot on the charts for sure. I love how positive these videos are! I have a request if at all possible some time in the future…Davey Jones, most well known for being a member of The Monkees. Thank you for another great video!
Thank you as always Deidre 🥰 And yes the My Sharona record cover doesn't leave much for the imagination 😂 I have Davey Jones on the list already but wasn't sure if anyone would be interested, so thank you for your suggestion 🤗 I always really appreciate your input and kind words 💕
@@HarmonyHeartsLifestyle-ul5yv oh gosh yes people will be interested! He was under-appreciated as a musician. You’re very welcome, it’s always a joy to see your videos 🤗
Thank you for that! I worked for Capitol Records recording dept. when Doug was with the band. I recall him being in the studio, working on some tracks. & rehearsing for gigs.

Thank you my friend you also! 🤗💖
One of the best live bands ever,,
His brother Jeffrey was also Dr. Jack "Dr. Death" Kevorkian's attorney- I much preferred Good Girls Don't over My Sharona...

I Love This Band ❤❤❤
Saw the Knack in a small club in Cleveland many years ago,They kicked a$$!!!!
Pretty thorough but nothing was mentioned he was a touring member of German prog band Triumvirat in 1975.
Thank you for that! I worked for Capitol Records recording dept. when Doug was with the band. I recall him being in the studio, working on some tracks. & rehearsing for gigs.
@@DavidRomero-y6s glad you could confirm that.
Thanks for mentioning that.
@@CKS64 you’re welcome
Was Eberhard Schoener in that band ?
I loved Triumvirate
No mention that his only brother was the attorney for DR Death (Kavorkian) and ran for Governor of Michigan?
Fi-ger….NOT Feeger…
It’s amazing to me, not really, but the majority of people will say Doug Fee-ger.
That’s like The Kinks - Ray Davies is actually pronounced “Davis”.
I never knew he ever married anyone
I remember that people were saying that this was the future of music. LoL
He wrote his own faith. Smoking.
Pronounced FI-GERR NOT FEEGERR! Ugh!
@@brucetracy726 Also pronounced “Grand-ie” Ballroom not Grand Ballroom
I didn't like the knack at all I thought they sucked
Me too. I always hated my sharona, awful irritating song.
@@Simon-fr4ts your probably an unsuccessful musician...
you suck much more then the knack ever could
I don’t like chocolate.
Irritating band
