How was the topper you got? I got a 3 inch gel lucid. It's still inflating.

From my research the heavier you are it’s better to get a 4” topper and if you are a hot sleeper get the gel foam
Because you are on a heavier side, you need a thicker pad. The 2 inch is not gonna cut it. Even lighter side the 2 inch is too little to do anything. The memory is actually lifting up on the edge, that mean it does not sink in enough to support you. You should try getting a 4 inch Lucid Memory foam one, probably make a lot of different. I got the 3 Inch Lucid one and it's quite good. Does make a different.
Which Lucid you got ? The bamboo or memory foam?

So, any tips for packing up a mattress topper? How am I gonna get this to college in the mini-van with everything else?
If you have not yet opened it, it comes compressed in a tidy box (see Amazon Link). Once you open it, it's much harder to transport. :(
I got a 6 inch medium firm mattress, I am a side sleeper, but the mattress is still too firm. I got a 3 inch foam topper, really closer to 2 inches not enough, got the charcoal one you have, and will put it between the mattresses, hope that will fix my problem.. thanks for your review.

Could I cut a 3" king size LUCID Topper into equal halves to fit my single size mattresses?
Should work out just fine if the dimensions work out. Nothing wrong in cutting foam. They cut foam at the Foam Shop.

Yes, if by "single size" you mean twin.

Do you really need to let the lucid gel 3 inch inflate 48 hrs.
My best guess -- it won't be as fluffed up if you sleep on it sooner, but it won't hurt anything long term either. Your first night of sleep might be less good
Do you wish that you would have gotten the Memory Foam Version of the bed now because this one turned out to be a little firmer? What were your reasons in choosing the latex version?
I generally like firmer beds, but it was a touch too firm.
