One tweet that got under their skin and they immediately resort to mocking voices and “No, you.” It’s becoming increasingly clear that their brains stopped developing at around age 16 because that’s how immature they act. They might be charismatic and have lots of money, but that doesn’t make them nice people.

Hi, someone who worked in the food industry here. People can't take them to court over not liking the product. However if someone is harmed or made ill due to their product they can. The fine print is them illuminating that risk of getting in trouble with that. However they can't do this and they will soon realise that if someone does become ill due to this "product" people will take them straight into court

I feel like most people are uncaring that they made an unhealthy product and are more critical of the deceptive marketing but for me, I do think we need a conversation about ultra processed foods and in particular, with these specific three, using their influence to market UPFs directly to children. A chocolate bar that is no longer "healthier" than its competitors with its new formula, a "sports drink" that doesnt actually hydrate you and now a "healthy alternative" to lunchables but its still a UPF. There needs to be responsibility. Sure parents are part of the equation but children do have access to money and shops. And influencers do that influencing. Mr beast bragged about bringing new customers into the market. They are aware of their impact. These are not innocent little endeavors; there is a real impact on children's health.

Because their products aren't selling as much as it used to, they have to literally repackage their products as a marketing tactic. Nothing changed. I'm guilty of saying 'fair play, make your bag' but realistically it's wrong. Money over morals is never the right way. There's no ethical way to be a millionaire/billionaire. They are taking advantage of children that idolise them and will do anything to get their products, it's only less calories because there's hardly any food in the product. I feel like most people are uncaring that they made an unhealthy product and are more critical of the deceptive marketing but for me, I do think we need a conversation about ultra processed foods and in particular, with these specific three, using their influence to market UPFs directly to children. A chocolate bar that is no longer "healthier" than its competitors with its new formula, a "sports drink" that doesnt actually hydrate you and now a "healthy alternative" to lunchables but its still a UPF. There needs to be responsibility. Sure parents are part of the equation but children do have access to money and shops. And influencers do that influencing. Mr beast bragged about bringing new customers into the market. They are aware of their impact. These are not innocent little endeavors; there is a real impact on children's health.

I don't think the "no sue clause" works. 1 it's on the website so you won't see it if you buy the product normally. Unless they include it with every pack. 2 you can't have clause that stop legal action, to my knowledge. Ik its an arbitration clause, but alot of things can't be handled with arbitration 3 who tf makes a terms of service form a lunch kit? Have tos for lunch (if you can even call it that) should be a red flag for anyone

The reason they get a lot of hate is because they’re trying to argue that these small, unhealthy, processed foods are acceptable for a kid’s lunchbox. And, with lunchables, it was just mean to be a sandwich alternative, whereas Lunchly are trying to be the full meal. Also, they’re trying to sell energy drinks to young kids
Lunchables are sold for a couple quid, whereas knowing their business strategy, I wouldn't be surprised if lunchly gets sold for 5x the price. lunchly doesnt even look filling, so kids are probably going to even buy multiple packs just for lunch

I think Cam nailed it on the head with “if you’re happy with a product you’ve made, you wouldn’t feel the need to defend it as much as this”. I think it’s also to do with the fact neither of these guys have any food and safety backgrounds so of course they’re getting backlash for acting like they know what they’re doing. The scandals, controversies and lawsuits also add to this - “why should I believe you when your whole image is a sham?”
The reason why Dan’s review of a monthly subscription candy box is different is because it was just that, A REVIEW. It wasn’t his product he was merely being a taste tester for it and never claimed it to be healthy for kids. As for the other RUclipsrs who made “healthier” candies like Joyride, whilst I agree there is definitely some hypocrisy with calling out Logan, KSI and MrBeast, these individuals aren’t known to be money-hungry con artists who use exaggeration and scandals to boost their publicity.
