Nothing will ever replace the feeling of walking through the gate for the first time with an under geared group of late night degenerates, none of us knowing what awaited us. I spent a lot of time making corpse runs and lying face down on the floor with guildies, learning as we battled along, week after week, slowly making progress and picking off one boss after another. The best of times, would love to do it all over again with that bunch.

Karazhan is actually a very sinister place. The Banquet Hall was hosting nobles from Grand Hamlet who were massacred by Sargeras's controlled Medivh while at the party. Darkness fell over the land and Grand Hamlet became Darkshire. Also there is a mass grave underneath Karazhan with bodies hanging from chains. Also there was a small village outside of Tower of Karazhan that is now in complete ruin and abandoned (hint everyone died).

My fondest memory of this raid was my guild fighting Netherspite for the first time... we'd managed to get him down to the barest sliver of health when we fucked up and he proceeded to start wiping the raid.
Our Holy Priest, as Netherspite turned toward her, fired a basic attack with her wand at him and downed him. Never heard such cheering over Vent. :)

This theme brings me back to 2007, the funniest moments with my classmates. We used to play together for Karazhan, heroic dungeons and black temple. Back then, my PC was not so good to run WOW, so whenever I play and go raid at my home, my computer stops at the stairways right before Moroes, where range skills are needed on bunch of mobs, and I had to log in again and again. My friends make fun of me everytime I go Karazhan with them, but it is one of great memories in my life. Now the boys playing BC became fathers, and I, too.

My first raid when i dinged 70 on my first hunter. I was such a noob, didnt know my class well, but the guild was overgeared running people through. The raid felt so mysterious, and as a 13 year old kid it felt daunting to see it all. Even though wotlk came out less than a month after i dinged 70, this raid popped my cherry for raiding. Kara and naxx will always be super special to me. Its where i got good at raiding and fell in love with it. A shame that it was the peak and i didnt know it. Ulduar was pretty awesome too though.
Maybe these raids i mentioned were amazing because i was young and it felt magical, maybe it was the raids being awesome. I just feel they dont make them like this anymore.
I’ll never forget the time i wiped the raid on the blue dragon boss, sorry everyone. The Huntard strikes again

Where boys became men - Karazhan. I remember when TBC came and when Karazhan was introduced - It was the big boy toys - Everybody farmed normal dungeons & heroics to get the keys, it was such a pain to even farm those damn tokens with heroic resets at the time. The Karazhan tier 4 raider was considered God among men at the time. I remember when I got my first Helm from the prince. Everybody inspected me in-front auction house. It looks mean on tauren warrior main tank! I probably made over 50 - 70 karazhan runs. I'll never forget Karazhan, its where I firstly became seriously geared. Best to all

I remember first stumbling in on this place when I first started WoW. I had never played an MMORPG before, and the idea of this open-world astounded me. When I got my first mount, I would go everywhere. I traveled to high-level zones I shouldn't have even gone in. Karazhan was one of those places I should have not stepped foot in. It scared the absolute hell out of me, and at the time, I was a lower level and got one-shot by everything there.

Man does this bring back some awesome memories! My absolute, without a doubt favorite raid was Kara. I remember the whole guild had worked so hard in their progression to get ready for it. The anticipation of FINALLY raiding Kara is still etched in my memory. What an awesome job Blizzard did of Karazhan - not just the dungeon itself (which was freakin' genius) but the whole progression to get there. Gotta be the most epic thing I'll remember about playing Wow.
I'll never forget when the King's Defender dropped - I was main tank in our guild and was in awe of this thing and when it dropped I was blown away!
That's some epic gaming right there!

They don't make them like they used to.
I was reminiscing with a friend the other day about how no such thing has come close to my fondness for Shadowfang Keep, Duskwood, and Kharazan since I first experienced them way back in the day. What made me so fond of them? Why were they so interesting to me? I pondered it for awhile, and came up with a pretty satisfactory explanation.
While it may be easy to create something spooky, it's quite hard to make something intriguing. If the answer is obvious, then there is no element of interest. These ghosts locked in a dungeon, you can only assume, died in a rather predictable manner. Those waltzing through a ballroom, while a pipe organ roars through the halls and into the night? What tragedy befell this place, and what happened on that night to trap these spirits in a place of such grandeur and perceived merriment? The brutal fall from grace, the subsequent despair and disaster. It has to have an element of interest. Can something spooky be... fun? Can it be warm and inviting in a somewhat eerie way? Can it make you feel as if you've ventured somewhere you were never meant to venture to, or that you're intruding upon something that you were never meant to intrude upon? That you've become some guest at a party you were never supposed to attend?
The concept of "warm" darkness is interesting. It can be as simple as a softly-lit lantern on the side of a dark road. The lit fireplace in an old cabin in the woods. Some rainfall in the middle of the night, being viewed from a window inside a warm inn. Though you may meet with the light for awhile, there is always something unseen out in the darkness. You want to know what it is, and to unearth the secrets it's hiding... those secrets that have been trapped and forgotten for decades. Will you?

The issue with this book is that the events that happen are different depending on the source, the book explains the story in one way, in the movie it is told in another and in the games another different one, that being said is probably one of the best Warcraft books, the rest are really mediocre and only worth if you really want to know the lore

DeadLich Unborn after classic’s phases are over, I’ve heard a rumor that they will release BC content again.

If they really do this, I will play again...just to go raiding in Kara as in the good old days. In my opinion, Karazhan is the epitome of the good BC content.

+logosfabula The no music version will be up in about 13 hours and "Haunting" is the perfect word to describe it.

This thing is everywhere in Bulgaria. It has a strong, bad smell. Our European variaty looks slightly different, and its leaves resemble a little those of parsley. When I was a young boy my mom told me never to eat it.

well when they make 40 man Karazhan as the final raid of wow classic which they should and better snice back in the day it was hinted and worked on but was pulled in favor of TBC. I think some of these songs need to be in that raid as a reminder of where you are.

I wish you would occasionally get quests that would send you back to the old world to get stuff, like to get a spellbook from Karazhan, or to pick up something from some goblin in Ratchet. Just to remind you about the rest of the world.
