As a person who suffers from anxiety Eve always does a great job to represent such stories. Thanks for reviewing it! Personally I think one of the worst parts of letting anxiety take over is that you are aware. You are aware of the opportunities that might never come back and yet we choose not to take. We give up on them even when those opportunities might still be waiting for us. All this only to be filled with regret and self hate for not trying or trying harder. It's a vicious cycle.
He does great job indeed. I agree with the awareness, It was also one of the worst experiences knowing the opportunities are slipping. I think trying to take them despite what the consequences the anxiety says was a small step forward.

And then the mv’s theory...bruh that story is just beautiful The characters and what they represent makes u rlly connect with the song on an almost spiritual level and it paints a picture of what could happen because of certain hindrances you feel. Back when the song came out, I had an in depth theory for Tokyo Ghetto I used to share. That this song was about abusive realtionships and the girl and the blue man were the same. I still believe it can be applied rather well, with her lipsyncing the "all you can do is stay" lines, him trying to move past the fence being the relationship, the last shot of the girl with the umbrella directly followed by the blue man with the umbrella and so on. However, my theory sadly ended up losing all it's credibility after Eve himself stated once that the blue man was the boy's anxiety. Basically, the theory you read out at the end is pretty much universally agreed upon now, but I thought it'd be interesting to share the basis of an older theory.
That wss my theory too. It makes a lot of sense with how it's animated. Heck, the girl bitting down on a pure white shoe felt at least somewhat predatory. But it is what it is. I still like to see it as she's the monster even if it's incorrect. Or that the blue guy is actually impersonating the girl so he can get to the boy. A stalker.

I love that you’re a person just like me who loves to listen to music with stories behind them and analyze what the lyrics mean and really understand the message behind the music. It just means a lot to me because I love music and sometimes people say I “try to hard” to understand a song lol

*Short version of my theory:* he's had thoughts about changing but he never took the step, in the beginning he crossed the barbed wire in front of the fence but never actually went beyond it, every day was like a battle between his dark thoughts and his opposing thoughts that don't want to "stay" until he met the girl who he looked up to, and she was kind of like a beacon of light, but every time he tried to follow in her footsteps he got lost because she gave him advice like "everything in life is precious" but everyone knows that its just to sound easy on the ears in the end he never ends up moving "if you're scared what you can do is stay- All you do is stay!- as always you do just "stay"..." and because he always stayed his depression ate him, his depression or negative feelings consumed him and he died. *(read the bottom for my conclusion)* *Long version of my theory:* I agree with the part that it is about not being able to move, but my theory is slightly different, I'm not sure if the boy is neccesarrily an outsider but he could possibly be, but in the beginning he didn't actually cross the fence, he crossed the barbed wire in front of the fence, coming close to trying to make a change from his life "curiosity made me go beyond this barbed wire front", but with the blue man in the next shot behind him, he changes his mind ""Im not interested" I'd say like a fluttering butterfly" in the next lines of the lyrics "its just as I thought -saying that would be a lie but- life was degenerate" with some shots of the blue man coming in through some doors, he's thinking his dark thoughts but he also has some thoughts that disagrees with them, every day was like that for him until he met the girl one day, now with a beacon of light he doesn't know what to do, he doesn't know how to take the next step, he can't change all he does is stay, through the lyrics we can see that he looked up to the girl, possibly because she's gone through the same depression but she's able to make change for herself, he's having trouble even finding a reason to live "How can I - how can I find the reason" that he gets lost every time she tries to follow her, and its probably because that she's giving him advice like "life is precious" but everyone knows that its just something to sound easy on the ears and he ends up dismissing it, "y'all are too kind, y'all are too kind taking care of me -though I don't remember- you just look like you don't wanna interfere in me -the things I can see- the things I can see, they're just imitations" basically he sees that everyone that's taking care of him aren't being they're true selves, and are putting a mask on around him, "find sympathy? - or just through away? -it's gonna start anyway-" he's pondering whether he should sympathize for them or just through them out of his mind, then he realizes that either of these options isn't going to change anything, life is gonna move on anyway, then he sees the girl showing a kind expression like everyone else, but he notices that he doesn't see it like a mask, its beautiful to him because he's sees it as true "that face, that kind expression -in my eyes, for a moment, was reflected so beautifully", but again he tries chasing the girl, but as always he gets lost but then, (it might be the girl saying this next line although its unclear) "lets go beyond the "real"" and then his thoughts add "if you're scared what you can do is "stay"" as the blue man quite literally takes him out of the picture, the "real" might be life, something like "lets forget about life and enjoy our time" but to get there it would require him to take a step, she bites into the shoe in the next scene which might represent her taking another step while the boy watches and starts to smile a little bit, but finally he doesn't know how to take a step all he does his stay, and he ends up dying because of it, and the girl watches with the sad, worried look on her face, as she is restricted by someone behind her and then by the police tape, and she sees that its all because all he ever did was "stay" "All you do is stay! As always you do just "stay"...". In the end I think this is about depressioin and being stagnent, I've been there and I relate to this song deeply, its so hard to move, to change, its not as easy as it sounds to just change, but if all you do is stay you'll let you're anxiety and negative feelings consume you and you'll drown in them, I love this song, everything about it is so good, this is the reason I love Eve. also great reaction Mooshi!

If you realize, Every one of Eve’s songs show some hints or characters from other songs like the beginning where you see two characters from “Outsider” and “Dramaturgy”, where both are Eve’s songs I started watching and listening to Eve’s songs because of this fact since I wanna see if there’s a relation to these characters Yea and that’s how I dived into the Eve fandom Oh yea and in the end you can see Hitotsume-sama sitting down in the switching cameras
I think the most sad part of this song is the imagery and the sound design being so peaceful. The song being titled Tokyo Ghetto adds a lot of serenity into the picture, but also the sounds of echoes indicate that his cries for help were always unheard. Such is the way of this hippie town where he didn't belong. The one verse that stood out to me was "Y'all are to kind to me". His anxiety manifested in various ways, but I think the most prominent was his disability to accept and understand the feelings of others. While this showed in a more direct way with the girl, It's important to note that she was not the only one who saw him. Just the only one he made eye contact with.
Eve's songs always leave a deep impression-- its part of why I love them so much! There is another artist by the name of Picon that I feel falls along the same lines but is definitely in a league all his own when it comes to his style of music, but I think because of that you'd really enjoy them. He mostly uses Miku because its only recently that has he started to feel confident enough to sing himself, but the best way I can describe his music is it feels like those moments of realization when you're alone thinking about the past. Perhaps I didn't word that quite right, ah well. I really recommend either Tatara, There Was Life, Warm Creature, or Airhead (which is probably his most popular, as even Eve has done a cover of it!).
I’m here to share a little story because I’m watching this video at 1:58am. I don’t really care who see’s this so I shall begin. I’m a person that struggles with anxiety and fear of taking the necessary step forward to the life I always imagine in my head. I’ve always been this way ever since I came to America. In high school I had a girlfriend and to me she was my light in this world of darkness. She was everything I needed but my mind kept me from expressing how I really felt towards her. This pushed her away and we broke up leaving me in a worse state of mind than I was in before I met her. It’s been two years since we broke up and I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith into this world. Sometimes things won’t go as planned or the worse case scenario is that you will fail, but failing only means that there is something to be learned. I’m still taking one step at a time through life because there is so much to learn. And I also founds Eve’s music too.

This video just broke me. I haven't watched the video nor read the lyrics for this bomb ass song before, so going through this emotional roller coaster... man... it hurts. And it is such a big thing for all of us, but especially if you have issues with anxiety disorder or depression etc. I do feel really scared of the future, whether I get worse or better. Getting worse, well the song shows how that goes, but getting better is also scary. I don't think I know what kind of person I'll be once I'm not suffering from depression. And the journey to get better is difficult and heavy so sometimes I feel like it's better to stay as I am even if I don't move forward or get to experience the things I long for. But I know that is not the case, it is still just my depression talking. It is worth it to get better even though it's not easy and is full of ups and downs. Once again a great song from Eve. They always hit so deep while having just great vocals and tune. Gotta love it. And I love your reaction and breakthrough Shooshi

On a serious note, I really like the mix of depth/perspective and shit-posting/humor that is in all of your videos. I think your interpretations are very unique (as is your perspective) your message at the end of your video really touched my heart and I just wanted to thank you...
I love how all the imagery and flashes of movement are overlayed on top of each other, with both characters in the same frame creating this experimental view of perspective.
This might be weird to say, but your concluding statement got me tearing up a bit. I really needed to hear it, but I also feel anxious because of how hard it is not to let my anxiety control me. After so many failures and disapprovals with little to know acknowledgement from others at all, I don't even know where to pull that courage from anymore. I don't know what would push me to go further so that I can get a better future. (Sorry if this doesn't make sense. English is not my native.)

I love the fact that Eve makes great music and puts meanings into his music, his voice is beautiful and the rhythms he uses are always beautiful. The feeling I get from his music is as if it sucks me into a void and brings such emotion to me, whether if the emotions are sad, happy, calm, etc it always amazes me
This song have a special place in my heart since, as a person with anxiety issues, I relate to this heavily. Being someone that really wants to change for a good cause, but get stopped in the end, thinking that it won't work. You might also want to hear the Acoustic version of this song. It really hits you home. :)
At 15.44 from that time on your words alnost make me cry... Right now I'm at a point where I have to decide and it can change everything. I've made decisions several times and made wrong choices again and again. It took part of myself and my courage. Now I'm too cowardly to choose indefinitely. I "stay" and it's just as terrible. One thing I can say I have fear of commitment to anything just like this video shows but the one thing I do know to avoid is suicide because that is just not the way you should go if you ever have thoughts like suicide regret or any negativity always remember it doesn't matter you will find happiness even if you don't believe because only with negativity can there be positivity so the painful times will make you enjoy the happy moments better

Not my first time requesting, but I would LOVE if you did otetsu songs! Noraneko is my favorite, but Oppression Confusion Girl is also about anxiety, and a lot of his other songs, like Carnival, Night and Day, and Tightrope Walking are also really really good! My other artist suggestion is Youman! They’re a lesser-known artist, but they have several amazing songs, like RIP, which is my favorite, as well as Weenywalker, Tiny Bunny, Zoetrope, and Connectionelegy! For Tiny Bunny specifically, Alfakyun has a fantastic cover of that song, while RIP has a cover by Risuru that’s absolutely chilling.

I agree with the part that it is about not being able to move, but my theory is slightly different, I'm not sure if the boy is neccesarrily an outsider but he could possibly be, but in the beginning he didn't actually cross the fence, he crossed the barbed wire in front of the fence, coming close to trying to make a change from his life "curiosity made me go beyond this barbed wire front", but with the blue man in the next shot behind him, he changes his mind ""Im not interested" I'd say like a fluttering butterfly" in the next lines of the lyrics "its just as I thought -saying that would be a lie but- life was degenerate" with some shots of the blue man coming in through some doors, he's thinking his dark thoughts but he also has some thoughts that disagrees with them, every day was like that for him until he met the girl one day, now with a beacon of light he doesn't know what to do, he doesn't know how to take the next step, he can't change all he does is stay, through the lyrics we can see that he looked up to the girl, possibly because she's gone through the same depression but she's able to make change for herself, he's having trouble even finding a reason to live "How can I - how can I find the reason" that he gets lost every time she tries to follow her, and its probably because that she's giving him advice like "life is precious" but everyone knows that its just something to sound easy on the ears and he ends up dismissing it, "y'all are too kind, y'all are too kind taking care of me -though I don't remember- you just look like you don't wanna interfere in me -the things I can see- the things I can see, they're just imitations" basically he sees that everyone that's taking care of him aren't being they're true selves, and are putting a mask on around him, "find sympathy? - or just through away? -it's gonna start anyway-" he's pondering whether he should sympathize for them or just through them out of his mind, then he realizes that either of these options isn't going to change anything, life is gonna move on anyway, then he sees the girl showing a kind expression like everyone else, but he notices that he doesn't see it like a mask, its beautiful to him because he's sees it as true "that face, that kind expression -in my eyes, for a moment, was reflected so beautifully", but again he tries chasing the girl, but as always he gets lost but then, (it might be the girl saying this next line although its unclear) "lets go beyond the "real"" and then his thoughts add "if you're scared what you can do is "stay"" as the blue man quite literally takes him out of the picture, the "real" might be life, something like "lets forget about life and enjoy our time" but to get there it would require him to take a step, she bites into the shoe in the next scene which might represent her taking another step while the boy watches and starts to smile a little bit, but finally he doesn't know how to take a step all he does his stay, and he ends up dying because of it, and the girl watches with the sad, worried look on her face, as she is restricted by someone behind her and then by the police tape, and she sees that its all because all he ever did was "stay" "All you do is stay! As always you do just "stay"...".
In the end I think this is about depressioin and being stagnent, I've been there and I relate to this song deeply, its so hard to move, to change, its not as easy as it sounds to just change, but if all you do is stay you'll let you're anxiety and negative feelings consume you and you'll drown in them, I love this song, everything about it is so good, this is the reason I love Eve.

I started watching and listening to Eve’s songs because of this fact since I wanna see if there’s a relation to these characters

I think the most sad part of this song is the imagery and the sound design being so peaceful. The song being titled Tokyo Ghetto adds a lot of serenity into the picture, but also the sounds of echoes indicate that his cries for help were always unheard. Such is the way of this hippie town where he didn't belong.
The one verse that stood out to me was "Y'all are to kind to me". His anxiety manifested in various ways, but I think the most prominent was his disability to accept and understand the feelings of others. While this showed in a more direct way with the girl, It's important to note that she was not the only one who saw him. Just the only one he made eye contact with.
Realising she's the only one makes me feel sad about it.

Eve's songs always leave a deep impression-- its part of why I love them so much! There is another artist by the name of Picon that I feel falls along the same lines but is definitely in a league all his own when it comes to his style of music, but I think because of that you'd really enjoy them. He mostly uses Miku because its only recently that has he started to feel confident enough to sing himself, but the best way I can describe his music is it feels like those moments of realization when you're alone thinking about the past. Perhaps I didn't word that quite right, ah well. I really recommend either Tatara, There Was Life, Warm Creature, or Airhead (which is probably his most popular, as even Eve has done a cover of it!).
I’m here to share a little story because I’m watching this video at 1:58am. I don’t really care who see’s this so I shall begin. I’m a person that struggles with anxiety and fear of taking the necessary step forward to the life I always imagine in my head. I’ve always been this way ever since I came to America. In high school I had a girlfriend and to me she was my light in this world of darkness. She was everything I needed but my mind kept me from expressing how I really felt towards her. This pushed her away and we broke up leaving me in a worse state of mind than I was in before I met her. It’s been two years since we broke up and I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith into this world. Sometimes things won’t go as planned or the worse case scenario is that you will fail, but failing only means that there is something to be learned. I’m still taking one step at a time through life because there is so much to learn. And I also founds Eve’s music too.

This video just broke me. I haven't watched the video nor read the lyrics for this bomb ass song before, so going through this emotional roller coaster... man... it hurts. And it is such a big thing for all of us, but especially if you have issues with anxiety disorder or depression etc. I do feel really scared of the future, whether I get worse or better. Getting worse, well the song shows how that goes, but getting better is also scary. I don't think I know what kind of person I'll be once I'm not suffering from depression. And the journey to get better is difficult and heavy so sometimes I feel like it's better to stay as I am even if I don't move forward or get to experience the things I long for. But I know that is not the case, it is still just my depression talking. It is worth it to get better even though it's not easy and is full of ups and downs.

I think everyone has a time in their life where they got an anxiety about something and that makes this so relatable and sad at the same time. I got chills. I love the fact that Eve makes great music and puts meanings into his music, his voice is beautiful and the rhythms he uses are always beautiful. The feeling I get from his music is as if it sucks me into a void and brings such emotion to me, whether if the emotions are sad, happy, calm, etc it always amazes me
