Thank you for your kind words, my friend. 🤙🏽 I'll make sure to send some stoke to Dusty for you. Good winds! -Aaron
About the rebels looping ability, the older rebels loop great in smaller sizes, just nobody did it usually.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! 🤙🏽 Good winds to you, my friend. -Aaron
hi guys, great videos as always. Big big question of mine: how do the rebel sls compare to the orbit? duotone keeps extending its range with different versions which have different materials (normal rebel, sls and a foreseeable dlba with aluula), while north just keeps a simpler lineup with the orbit which objectively works great too. Is it worth buying an sls or aluula kite for the extra money? i found no video on the internet comparing the new rebels sls with the orbit and i think it would be great for big air riders... many thanks!
Thank you for your positive feedback on our videos! 🤙🏽
You bring up a great question about the comparison between the Duotone Rebel SLS and the North Orbit. Both kites are high-performance freeride/freestyle kites with different materials and construction techniques. The Rebel SLS features Duotone's new Strong Light Superior (SLS) construction, which uses a combination of high-tech materials and design features to reduce weight and increase performance. The North Orbit, on the other hand, uses a more traditional construction with a high-quality canopy and reinforced leading edge and struts for durability and stability.
In terms of performance, the Rebel SLS is designed to offer a high degree of versatility and range, with excellent stability, control, and maneuverability. It's a great choice for riders who want a high-performance kite that can excel in a variety of conditions and riding styles. The North Orbit is also a great choice for riders who prioritize high-performance freeriding and big air, with a powerful and stable design that offers excellent lift and hangtime.
Ultimately, the choice between the Rebel SLS and the Orbit will depend on your individual preferences, riding style, and budget. We hope this helps, and if you have any more specific questions or concerns about either kite, please don't hesitate to ask. Good winds! -Aaron
@@MACkiteboarding thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated! so basically given the lighter materials the rebel is a bit more versatile while the orbit is more big air oriented, maybe especially in strong winds being a little bit heavier?
Being lighter and newer, is the size of a new Rebel SLS a match to an old Rebel? So, is a 10 m SLS similar in power as an old 11 m?
Good question, my friend. 🤙🏽 The Rebel was always known for its low-end power, and I feel that Duotone has stayed true to that design characteristic with the current Rebel SLS models. If you're looking for the power of a Rebel 10m, then I recommend looking at the Rebel SLS in the 10m size as well. -Aaron
@@MACkiteboarding Thank you! Exactly what I wanted to know!
How do you feel about the rebel sls 2022 durability? The forums are full with complaints
I've been riding Duotone SLS kites exclusively since their first introduction and absolutely love the increased handling and response. I've not had any problems with durability whatsoever, even when routinely inflating them to around 10 psi. Good winds! -Aaron
@@MACkiteboarding why pumping it up so hard? Is that personal preference or a purposeful stress test???
@@calebpribanic1007 The narrower frame likes to be pumped a bit harder than most traditional dacron frames. Especially if you are a heavier rider. -Tucker
Is the Evo better in terms of back stalling in light wind?
Great question, Pegas. 🤙🏽 The Duotone Evo doesn't have any back stalling issues due to its more moderate aspect shape. The Rebel is more higher aspect and requires more rider input to avoid back stalling in lighter conditions. Good winds! -Aaron
is good kite for kite looping?
Great question, Diego. 🤙🏽 Surprisingly enough, the Rebel, especially in the smaller sizes, it quite the kitelooping machine. We've had several of our shop riders switching over to the Rebel for that very reason. Good winds! -Aaron
