Beautiful looking tails! Love the large size❤ They're readily available here in KS so we cook them once a week. I'm looking forward to trying them smoked now that frigid temps are gone.😊 Thank you!
Love the commentary, it feels like I am hearing distilled honesty from three lifetimes of experience. Plus you give technical details, the nitty-gritty, which helps me more than general bs. I appreciate you sharing with us man!
My great-grandfather was a forester in Bavaria. They used everything from harvested animals. I love going through my mom's and grandmother's cookbooks with the handwritten notes - I have mom's old pressure cooker with the weight that jiggles when it releases steam. It truly brings back memories of being in the kitchen with them -- mom and grandma seemed to always have an apron in unless we were going to church
I cut meat for 36 years in Houston Texas. Houston is a pretty diverse city & I learned lots of different techniques in various area. While working in one area was turned on to swinging steak. Swinging steak was whole oxtails on the smoker. Your pressure cooked Ox Tails looked fantastic. I have a few packages along with some short ribs that are cut into flanked ribs. My plans were just to smother them in a thick roux with the holy trinity & go over rice. I really do enjoy your channel & seeing how its done in your area.
Love me some ox tails .This looks delicious. These are the best for a good vegetable soup .what flavour !!! and I love them in my pressure cooker with potatoes diced and celery ,little garlic onion and good brown gravy ,omg ..Tku for another great recipe..
I’m glad you made that comment about a $400 dollar cooker is the same as a $10,000 cooker. I wanted a offset. I thought that would be better than my Weber kettle. I’ll save my money and fuel and buy brisket and now oxtails. I never seen anybody do oxtails on a smoker. Great idea!!!!
We have a place out here in Arlington Texas called Jamaica Gates. Their oxtails are good but I can just imagine yours are just probably scrumptious! Lol!
My husband and I just watched this video on our TV. My mouth is watering as you cut into the meat. Question, what is in that sauce that you used for controlling the flames as well as keeping the meat moist? Could you please share your recipe? Thank you
Great cook Bro Southern Style, Oxtails look delicious. Will have to try the hoisin sauce, that's a different touch. I pressure cook my oxtails also, cant see myself on the grill with these for the 5+ hours it will take to cook them completely on the grill. Plus the low temp that you have to maintain. Pressure cook for 35-40 min. then smoke for an hour or so, done.
This is ASMR bbq, so relaxing. Also if you don't make a seasoning or sauce called Pit Master's Taste, you're missing an opportunity. Keep up the awesome videos, don't go anywhere.
Great video. I agree with the notion of not wanting to spend the whole day feeding logs. No hate for those who want the "experience" of tending the fire all day😂 I want the flavor, not the labor🤔😂
Excellent video, looking forward to trying this one soon. What are your thoughts on doing it the other way around which is searing then smoking them for an hour or two first before going in the pressure cooker?
Thank you my friend. My thoughts are wet, soggy meat with washed away flavor and terrible texture if done backwards. Would definitely ruin everything you worked hard to achieve in terms of the flavor you already built. Hope this helps and thank you for watching.
That looks great as usual! I appreciate the dark sesame seeds on the light colored food and the regular ones on the dark colored food. I have never seen that before and it's striking. Are you a chef professionally?
Thank you for your kind words. I've always felt sesame should be an integral part of most Asian cuisine and we are all chefs, just on a different leg of our journey. Thank you so much for watching, you are greatly appreciated.
Giving that I live in Dublin Ireland oxtail stew is something I love the next time I make a pot I'm going to cook the oxtail the same way it's something I never taught about doing with oxtail but that looks damn good cheers friend
Nice vid and the Oxtails looked awesome however my 250gallon smoker cooks far better than my first $250 Home Depot smoker. It has much better airflow which produces a much better barbecue. Keep up the good work
What's better than sucking on Neck Bones?....Sucking on Oxtails!!😉😉 , Bro.. another one knocked out the park!!. I hope you saved that broth from the pressure cooker.. It will make a nice base for a soup or stew! 👍🏾
I had a spot where i used to get them for around 2.25lb. From a rural place like 40 miles out in the country that nobody in the black community had even heard of.they wasnt familiar on how much in demand they were in the black community. I messed up and told 1 person where it was, i would never tell anyone. Needless to say she ruined the hookup now they are on par with everybody else $7-8lb. I was furious. I told her not to tell anyone
Can’t believe there aren’t 1 million people subscribed to this channel!!!
I'm glad to have you and thanks for watching.

I was thinking the same thing, there a RUclips man who sales his oxtails he smoke them first and then braise them. But these way looks good too.
@@bbqsouthernstyle gotcha that makes sense, thanks 👍🏾
I Am going to do this. Looks amazing
Hope you enjoy

The magic of ox tails is the collagen.
Amen
Yummy I love oxtails 😋😋😋! Unfortunately, they have risen in price drastically ☹️
Yes, but still cheaper and better then a prime cut of meat hands down lol
Giving that I live in Dublin Ireland oxtail stew is something I love the next time I make a pot I'm going to cook the oxtail the same way it's something I never taught about doing with oxtail but that looks damn good cheers friend
Thank you I hope you do give it a go and thank you Ireland for the visit.
Again you the best.
I try thank you!

Thank you and I bet the $250 Home Depot smoker got you to get the 250 gallon cooker lol you liked the smoke game.
@@bbqsouthernstyle Absolutely 🤣🤣🤣 and I will add I agree you can make a $250 cooker work.
What's better than sucking on Neck Bones?....Sucking on Oxtails!!😉😉 , Bro.. another one knocked out the park!!. I hope you saved that broth from the pressure cooker.. It will make a nice base for a soup or stew! 👍🏾
yes, I use it on my dog's dry food also a treat lol thank you glad you liked it.
Nothing better I can think of. Maybe sucking on a chicken wing smothered in gravy 😂😂
👌🏽
10-4 thank you.

Thanks 💯
Too much water I think but I want some! HAND IT TO ME NAH!! 💪🏿 AND the cook time is 💯👍🏾

LOL Never give up a great spot. I would never give up my fishing spot lol.
😄😄Lawwwd😭😭😭😄😄😄
U messed up bro😂😂😂
Loose lips sinks ships
Wow, I get em from $5/lb in the city. I usually get 4-5 tails a month
WHAT ABOUT SMOKING THEM 1ST. THEN ADD TO BROTH AFTER VIDE
Washed away flavor and texture is the result in my opinion, but hay that's just me I don't like baby food.
What’s the name of your grill
Weber Ranch 37" the biggest one Weber makes.
Did u cut your own oxtails?
No sir to much work lol
