Ah Des! What a hike, definitely glad we had a warm bowl of porridge, think you did mention the cold and it definitely came across! 🥶 wow those veiws, stunning, the snow capped peaks, bursts of blue 100% worth the effort and a brilliantly made video too, thanks so much for sharing your epic day with us, really appreciated, Ceri and Kat 💙 ⛰🧭🗺☕🥰
Hi Ceri & Kat! Definitely one of those hikes that will be etched clear in the old memory banks! 😁 I think the temperature drop and overnight snow had left the air crystal clear, so the views were just stunning! Thanks very much for watching! Hope the porridge was good!👍😊
Hi David. I really was blessed with some stunning views! Not sure what the happy campers were thinking, but I wouldn't want to be competing with them for a sunbed on the Costa Brava if they pitch up that early! 😂
Evening Des, Maria 💖 will pick this up with porridge and tea tomorrow morning, very much looking forward to this adventure 🗺🧭 hope you are both good and well, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 🧭
Cheers Chris! Much appreciated👍 I reckon you're a good bit more stealthy than that!....anyway I couldn't hear any Rolling Stones, so it can't have been you 😂
@@DesGreene I really like hiking. Any weather is favorable to me. The rain doesn't bother me. I love nature. in Poland, when it is raining or snowing, there are few people in the mountains. Then the tours are at their most beautiful. There is silence, peace, beautiful views, I often meet wild animals😀😀
Perfect light for filming. It looked like a lovely warm day at the beginning! But obviously very cold as we saw the ice and snow. Such fantastic views! 😍 Although my knees were aching just watching your ascent! 😂 So basically ☀️ ❄️ ☀️ ❄️ ☀️ ❄️😂
Hi Don! The air was absolutely crystal clear! Probably because the temperature dropped overnight. Pretty cold hike, but definitely one I won't forget for a while 😁 That descent was definitely pretty tough on the knees, but it needed to be taken slowly anyway 😁 Cheers for watching and see you soon👍😊
Wow, look at all that green! Such amazing views! Always fascinated by them walls! Does the snow ever leave the high points? Okay, it is for sure just a little on the chilly side...icicles!! lol Awesome hike! Bruce and Otis
Hi Bruce & Otis! Pretty stunning isn't it? ...and miles of lovely dry stone walls for you! 😁 I'm pretty sure all the mountains in Cumbria lose their snow caps in Summer (in the UK, it's possibly only the higher peaks in Scotland that might retain a little in the shade?) It was definitely a bit on the cold side up there, once you were exposed to the wind! Thanks very much for watching! Take care, both of you👍😊
It was a wonderfully green hike. Love the slate in the creek. One of my favorites. The ice cycles made it look like you are dealing with some crazy cold weather. The views were amazing.
Hi folks! It was a fantastic hike and the views were just breathtaking! Pretty cold up there, but luckily not too much snow. Otherwise it could have made the descent a bit tricky! 😁 Thanks very much for watching & catch you soon👍😊
Hi Watto! It was a spectacular hike. That hail did sting a bit with the strong winds! 😁 Glad you enjoyed watching👍 All the best & have a great weekend👍😊
My dearest Des! Can I tell you that this is one of your hikes that I liked the most? The scenery was incredibly beautiful, absolutely enchanting. And the view from the top totally amazing. I loved those clouds that stood out in the sky making everything even more suggestive. The snow-capped mountains in the distance .... what a charm! It still seems cold, right? In any case, it was an exciting hike to experience! My biggest embrace and lots of love to Maria and you, my friend. Hope you've spent a joyful and blessed Easter! My huge like !! Renata

That was a cracking walk from start to finish. Honestly blown away by those views. You must have had a ball doing that. You can see why so many take to these hills and it's a photographers dream. I do like the names. We have the Scottish Gaelic names for our hills and munros and the wainwright's are just as amusing lol. Happy hiking as always. Stay safe 👍😁👍🥾🥾🎒⛰️
Hi Scott! Absolutely spectacular up there, but I always wimp out of carrying an SLR these days! 😁 The names are really fascinating (although I was getting them muddled, not having done that hike before). Cheers! Quite a hike, beautiful views and a bit of weather! It seemed quite rocky in places, seemed to be fine if you took it slow. Lovely to see the rolling hills! 👌👍😄
Hi Jennifer! I really did enjoy this one. The views are just amazing! It is quite rocky and scrambly in certain sections, but nothing too bad for the weather conditions I had. I would imagine it could get very tricky with more snow and ice though! All the best & have a great weekend👍
Lovely 😍 These are the days mate👍👍 I’ve always loved the Lake District since doing Great Gable from Wasdale as a lad with a sheet of paper from a walking book🤦🏻♂️ The Pikes are so iconic aren’t they. The views across to the Scafells always took my breath away!! That’s a good way up mate and around that way. Another good one around there is Sergeant Man from Grasmere via Easedale. As you hit the ridge, the views along the Pikes across Stickle Tarn are jaw dropping!! But you can’t really beat the view from Harrison Stickle can you! Such a stunning place. Looked a cold one but one of the best days!! Loved this one.
Hi Dave! Stunning isn't it? I never really got to walk in Cumbria when I was younger, but hoping to make up for that before I get too decrepit! 😁 Definitely would love to do Sergeant Man and High Raise then back down via Stake Pass, but so many other great peaks to do in that area! It was a bit cold when you got up into the full blast of the wind, but the air was lovely and clear, so the views were stunning! All the best & catch you soon👍😊
