When you said ‘calendar material’ I wondered, had you ever thought of making one? I’d be interested and there could be opportunities to sell locally. I reckon you could put together a nice series showing the Lakes at its best month by month that offers something a bit more original than just the usual Ashness Bridge shot :)
It's a yes from me :) hope your well Glenn 😊 another binge worthy video. Its becoming a ritual to sit down with your video with a nice brew as soon as it drops :)
The amount of times I've been to Ambleside and have never done this one is ridiculous. Thanks fella consider it done the next time I'm over there. Gorgeous.
Having stayed in Ambleside for loads of family holidays, Wansfell has always been a great walk to do with the kids. Weirdly we always seemed to get a little lost returning from Troutbeck to Ambleside. Many thanks for posting Glenn. The world feels pretty scary at the moment so watching the magic of the Lakes feels very calming.
Did the walk yesterday morning in the rain and visibility at the top was non existent. However, we knew that it was due to be the hottest day in the UK so we had a bite to eat and waited....OMG the rain mist and clouds vanished before our eyes and we were left with the most magical view ever it was totally exhilarating. Keep up the good work.
A joy to watch from beginning to end! Lovely low key vibe to this one BC, from the stunning aerial footage to kick things off to the softer dialogue tones and awesome light and scenery along the way - beautiful! Amazing photos to end with too, what a great way to end my weekend! Brings back memories of our own week in the lakes just a week ago - blissful family time in our favourite place in the whole world. We are 47 holidays here so far and counting. Cant wait from the next one in Aug and your next video to get us in the spirit.
Yay, Finn's back, bless 'er. Great one, that. Enjoyed it. Been up there a few times, and I agree about the views. If the light is right, it can be awesome, especially for a smallish hill. Some love photos as well. Thank you.
Fantastic video with really beautiful scenery. The added bonus was seeing little Finn out and about again. What's not to like? Simply amazing. Thanks for posting. Good luck David.
Glenn, echoing others, these drone intros are ace. It is fascinating to see these places from above. On occasions they look so different I don't recognise the fell etc, which, in fact, is the best part, it is like discovering them for the first time. More please😃😃👍
Absolutely gorgeous. Scotland. I dream of visiting you someday. I get teary eyed watching the. The music the scenery. I think I can almost smell your forest's there.
Such a lovely video in every way, especially the addition of Finn ♥️. Will be working my way through your playlists. Many thanks for sharing- your newest fan from Aus 🇦🇺.
Mr Glen, I really enjoyed this, lots of compositions on the way up, I have to get my arse up here. But decides that WOW light and some majestic drone footage, soooooo good! So many great images, thanks Glen 😍🙏
I live on the lower slopes of Wansfell in Ambleside, very good walk with lots of opportunity, never actually came from up behind as you’ve done, thanks for the video!
Boy, it's a darn good thing the REAL star of the show was back, The Finnster, or there was gonna be a nasty email headed your way,Buster. Don't mind Josh or Dina, but going on an adventure without the furry one!? I mean, come on, Glenn, what are ya thinking, pal.? So no more of that going forward, eh!?
This was one of my regular walks, usually at least once a year, I call it the "Mortal Man" walk as I extend it so I can stop there for lunch (and a pint) 😂. Unfortunately, so far this year not walked it - and the year is rolling by. You do get wonderful views of Windermere when the weather plays ball 😁.
Managed this walk yesterday with my wife, decided to go clockwise on the walk from the car park, tbh glad we did. Had the best of the weather on way up. Great walk though and was worth the watch of this vlog yet again great work, inspired me to do this walk. Thanks, keep up the good work. :)
brilliant vlog, the photos are fantastic, looks like finn had a great time too, deff on my list for september, planning 2 trips to the lakes this year.
Superb as usual Glenn, many thanks for keeping our spirits up in these difficult times. Can I put a request in for a Causey Pike and surrounding fells walk at some point? Take care out there 👍
What a wonderful vlog thank you and got let you know you humour is second to none and make me laugh loads 🤣 and your little pal 🐾🐾🥰 what a beauty……only found you few months ago not quite a year so catching up on all you vlogged.
Great video, great channel. I'm hoping to do this walk on Saturday thanks to this video of yours. I've subscribed. Can i why you didn't do a slight detour on your walk to Wansfell (or known as Baystones), as am i right in thinking in doing that you'd have bagged a wainwright??? Thanks for the great videos. I've downloaded the os maps gpx file you provided.
I did the same walk last September but in the other direction. The weather was not as kind but still a great walk ending in the Golden Rule. Great video.
Maybe it's just the mood I'm in today, but whilst Wansfell is a nice little convenient climb, and does possess excellent views, suggesting it as possibly the Best in the world only makes me wonder if you've never looked west from Fairfield's plateau, south from Skiddaw Little Man or anywhere from Scafell Pike? Which I'm sure you have.
Genuine question, do you need to be an expedition hiker to access the mountains of western Norway or could someone with say 3 season experience of the lakes go hiking / camping there ?
My 73 Yr old mum has enjoyed this immensely, striding along where her husband used to do mountain rescue. Thankyou so much x❤️

Thank you 😊 It's something I've been meaning to do for years but always leave it too late. 2023 will be the first, keep an eye out 😁
I lost track of how many times I said WOW!! What a great dog Dad putting her coat on... love your dog!! Thanks so much for sharing this!
I watch these videos before I go to sleep to help me unwind
Thank you for shining your light on us all. You've awakened the love for a precious part of England's outstanding landscapes. 🌄
This lake district is special place in my heart , love it 😃
As usual, absolutely cracking drone footage at the start leading into another great video of an area familiar to me.
Gorgeous views…looking forward to doing this on Saturday, stunning drone shots!
The smoothness of the drone shots is exemplary
Lovely video as always!
Welcome back Finn! We have missed you! Love your little jumper...😄😄
Had to watch this one again, fantastic therapy

I liken it to Walla Crag, by Derwent Water. Huge return for a small outlay.
Excellent video once again. Thank you so much.
I was fortunate enough to see a cloud inversion from Wansfell in January. Gorgeous 😍

Thanks buddy 😁
Selfishly, I prefer all your VLOGS where you are on your own with Finn (Snowy from Tintin, in my head). Another beautiful watch. Thank you.
Beautiful video, beautiful scenery and beautiful soundtrack! Kudos buddy 👍🏻
A wander like that is great medicine.
Fantastic video with really beautiful scenery. The added bonus was seeing little Finn out and about again. What's not to like? Simply amazing. Thanks for posting. Good luck David.
What a beautiful opening to this video ! Thank you 😊
Thank-you so much once again for making these videos for us - as you say, it's moments like these we live for!
Oooooh perfect timing…. Just made a brew 🤗
Stunningly beautiful photos! Lovely walk which I shall add to my list! I adore Ambleside too ❤️
Of course the best view is of a happy Finn😊 ⛰️
Absolutely breathtaking views, great video! Hope Finn is ok!

once again i watch and try to put in to words just how good your work is, but no adjectives could describe it. stunning, just stunning.
Great Video, brilliant production. Loved the drone footage at the start .
We all have our favourite little hill view. Mine is from Hallin Fell looking down Martindale..To me. It is like the garden of Eden.
Absolutely gorgeous. Scotland. I dream of visiting you someday. I get teary eyed watching the. The music the scenery. I think I can almost smell your forest's there.

This is definitely enjoyable and worth watching! All the best, Matt in Notts.

It's always great to follow you what ever type of outing 😊

Great video again thanks, love that walk and always have a stop off in the Mortal Man part way round👍
Love it, especially the drone footage. Your editing is really, really good 👍🏻 Colour grading especially.
......the caring Path and inspiration is shared ! So much involved, wonderful effort! It is felt*
Loved this one, great footage as usual. We were up High Rigg today, another little hill with great views - Finn would love it 😊
Some damn fine drone footage and photography!!👌
Spectacular drone footage. Love your videos!!
Thoroughly enjoyed that, your dog is beautiful too...

Can I put a request in for a Causey Pike and surrounding fells walk at some point? Take care out there 👍
Thank you 😊 I'm hoping to film the Coledale Horseshoe this year 🤞
Did this from Limefitt Park quite a few years back
What a wonderful vlog thank you and got let you know you humour is second to none and make me laugh loads 🤣 and your little pal 🐾🐾🥰 what a beauty……only found you few months ago not quite a year so catching up on all you vlogged.

Wish my channel was as popular as yours haha. Great work mate
I did the same walk last September but in the other direction. The weather was not as kind but still a great walk ending in the Golden Rule. Great video.
Which walk was it mate?
Over Wansfell pike from Ambleside. I went past the falls on the way up but otherwise the same route as the video but in reverse.
@@russellhomans2173 thanks mate 👍👍
Excellent video thanks, is this the route via Jenkins crag and skellghyll?
Finn looks like a herdwick in that jumper
May I suggest Black Crag and / or Herdy Baseball Caps and Woolly Hats :)
Caps are definitely coming at some point just trying to find the right style and supplier 😊
I gottah make a trip to the UK
Which drone dude? :)
Cracking!

What drone are you using
Conic hill looking over loch lommond
I want to go. Please I do 🙏
Its stunning .
I thought you were missing 🤔😂😂😞
Somebody found me 🤭
Sorry Lake District, great view but conference league compared to western Norway
Genuine question, do you need to be an expedition hiker to access the mountains of western Norway or could someone with say 3 season experience of the lakes go hiking / camping there ?
Bit of an unnecessary comparison really. This isn't about Norway is it?
No need for that mate
Why not face the camera so we see what you see?
It'll be far prettier 🤣
Thank you
I actually have no idea what you mean by that 🤔
Harsh lol
