    Hi, here in India this Maruti swift is famous car. For removing dashboard in a easy way we have to remove the dashboard with the bar by disconnect the wiring couplers on the both side after then we access all screws and components easily….

      Only issue is that you can not just cut without taking the dash out. How do you know what’s underneath? How can you deaden the dashboard to get rid of buzzes?

    Hi from Slovenia, when's a new video of the Suzuki coming out? I'm thinking of doing something similar to my Suzuki with Lojze! But taking the dash out seems awfully fiddly.. would A-pillar build work just as good?

    Looking good Peter. It draw my attention that you use more often Steg driver’s lately since the Audi A7 video; going back to the roots? I remember you mentioned in a comment that you used Steg in the past.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  3 года назад +1

      In the A7 those speakers were purchased by the owner from Europe, we had nothing to do with that, just the tuning part.
      This time we truly go through more of their products and get familiar with what’s available to be able to give a wider choice to customers. 🔊🔊

      @@pssound9749 yes I know Peter, the owner showed the models what he purchased. I remember you mentioned that Steg wasn’t sold in the UK in that video. Is there now a distributor in the UK? I purchase Steg directly from the German distributor to the Netherlands. As a business owner (non retail price) they are quite good quality for the price! But as always; installation and tuning are the deal makers or breakers. I am very keen on seeing/hearing the end result. Succes to both of you 👍

    Hi Peter, I have a question for you! What frequency will you use to HP the midrange in that almost "free air" location? Thanks for all the knowledge you give for free!!

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  3 года назад +1

      Where you want to apply HPF depends on the midbass response too. These 4”s have functional response from 125Hz, some 3” like Micro Precision would play from 160Hz-ish, but you may want to cross both options bit higher with LR24 if you like it screaming loud

  • @ealneas1

  • @gonzoe123
    @gonzoe123 Год назад +1

    Would you do something similar with a midbass? Mount a midbass in the dash (maybe lose the defrost vent), and a wideband in the pillars? Or would you require enclosures?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  Год назад

      Midbass up on the dash has no cabin gain under 100/120Hz and no authority as a kickbass, no matter what application you use, so be mindful of that.

      @@pssound9749 I forgot to mention that there will also be an 8” front sub

    • @gonzoe123
      @gonzoe123 Год назад

      @@pssound9749 okay, I have decided that I will be doing a trunk baffle with 2 Dayton UM15-22’s, Dayton Reference “6inch” in the dash corners (custom), and Dayton Reference 1-1/8” tweeters (pillar build). The amps used are Audiocontrol D6.1200 & LC1.800. I am undecided if I should do an 8” front sub bridged off of channels 5&6 (easier), or 6”-8” kick pods stereo channels 5&6? I am not experienced with fiberglass and IB requires more cutting than I am willing to make at this time? Expected potential FR is 60-80hz to 120-200hz, depending on what the 6”’s can do in the car.

  • @chriscuthbertson
    @chriscuthbertson 2 года назад

    Wound the air vents on the front of the dash have been a useable place to mount the midrange if you didn't want to remove the dash or would they have been to far forwards towards the listening position? The tweeters in the sail panels would have been pretty close to them.

    • @gonzoe123
      @gonzoe123 Год назад

      I did that with a Mazda 6 and some super tweeters. It sounded really good for a basic system, no DSP or EQ. All the air still came out the middle vents fine. Hot and cold worked fine.
