@@xiamengbaby the MGP stuff which is what Chattanooga started with on the 1816 series all would be oved 4 yrs ! The 2 whiskeys that they distilled would probably be the 3 yr old distillate
@@Bourbonsouth47 a bottle of whiskey can only be given an age as old as its youngest component. If there's three year old and four year old whiskey in the bottle, you can only call it three years.
@@Bourbonsouth47 it would be a three year old whiskey then. You can't call it four years old. So I would assume the four year he put in his written comment is an error.
I just finished drinking Founders about 30 minutes. It absolutely blows me away. The cola, dark cherry, and cedar notes are to die for. That cedar note is a bit astringent for me but I really love that. I do find the founders to be really sweet compared to OGD 114 and WT 101 (just the pours I happened to put besides it). At $50, I can’t think of anything I’d rather drink except possibly the Chatt 111
Looooove Chattanooga since they first hit the shelves and even more after learning the story behind it and what they have done for the craft whiskey scene. I buy pretty much everything that they come out with and own about 8 different bottles right now. Now I'm just waiting for this one to hit Seelbachs so I can pick it up. Great review Fred! Cheers!
Ooh this looks nice! Was sipping the 111 a cpl nights ago and honestly for the age (2yrs?) I don't know another whisky that packs as much complexity, layers and viscosity. Not to mention under $50 Drinks more like a 10yr or more. Chat is doing something spl. I'll be on the lookout for this next time in Fla. Thx Fred!

In the video I thought you said it's over three years old but here in your note you say 4 years. Which is it, please?

Chattanooga has become one of the regulars in my bar. Love what they're doing!

I’ve done the tour and tasting at Chattanooga Distillery. They do a great job with both. I really loved the 111 Cask and the 99 Rye.
CW is absolutely WINNING. Their single barrels have been to die for and this founders is just YUM. Root beer notes, toffee, very sweet in a good way

Chattanooga is doing it right. Good juice at a good price point. I wish they carried it in PA. I stock up when I go to OH.
I’m moving from Chattanooga to PA and I’m already planning to stock up before packing the truck 😂
Love Chattanooga. Have all their stuff. The only one I don’t care for is the Islay cask finished. Hope it comes to IL.
The 111 is so good. One of my favorites under $50. Had some last night. The richness is evident with the flavors that come across
There BIB and there Single Barrel is Fantastic
Thanks for highlighting the whiskeys Chattanooga bottles. Can’t get it in PA but did in Georgia and Ohio. It’s absolutely great stuff!
I wish it was available in MI. A friend brought me back a bottle of their 111. Fantastic whiskey.

Great job Fred! How’s the lobbying for a Makers 12 Cask Strength going? I feel like the new releases of the 4 proof types is a step forward?
Is this a new offering from them? I have every bottle they make so I'd like to grab this as well
yup. it sure is.
Fall BiB over this but still enjoyed it
The finish is everything
I'm sold. Love Chattanooga products. Thanks for the great review and look forward to your cigars. Cheers.
Fred thanks for the review. Chattanooga 111 is always on my shelf; I appreciate all the work they do as a craft distiller!
I am a big fan of the whiskey and the story.
Love the bottle design on this release! Was lucky to pick one up today, local store only got one case
Love the 111, what I have is only 2 years old but doesn't taste that young at all. Would love to try this and their rye.

Might have to look for this. The store in my neighborhood has quite a bit of Chattanooga.
Just have to say thank you so much for the Rapid7 tasting you hosted. You have one more fan and subscriber!
I haven't had any Chattanooga products as of yet. It looks like I'm going to have to pick me up a bottle...
The reason their age statements are so low is bc they solara age their barrels
Sounds interesting. None available in Arizona, yet.
give it time? i know seelbach's carries their stuff
@@FredMinnick thinking I will find some in Texas. Headed there next week, Houston.
Haven’t seen the Founders in Texas yet. We do have the cask and rye everywhere
