For the 1st time, I skipped your spoilers. I have never read immortal hulk. When it was ongoing, I heard so many rave reviews that I KNEW there'd be an Omni. I want to read this run in its entirety without knowing whats gonna happen. So excited for my copy to get here!!

The size of this omni scares me.
I've just placed my order for this big-as book at my LCS. I've not been this excited for an omnibus since the Marc Spector: Moon Knight vol 1 omni.

I told myself I didn't need to buy this book. I already have the issues and don't need to rebuy just for the sake of a larger size.
Seeing this video and the art made me realize how important this book was to me in regards to the Hulk character. Placed my pre-order for the book just now.
Gorgeous book! I’ve heard nothing but stellar things about this run, so I’m excited to go into it *mostly* blind.
It is quite the ride. I got onto the series later into the run where it was a few trades deep to catch up. I can only imagine it being greater now due to being fully united at last. Everything just flows together so well. I hope you enjoy the series and the characterizations.
This is my most anticipated omni of the year, I heard great things about this run.

This is a highly anticipated omnibus, luckily I pre-ordered the standard cover and it will arrive in the next week. I love Joe Bennett as an artist combined with Paul Mounts (color artist). I think the standard cover looks way better than the DM variant, the colors really pops in the background but the DM looks much cleaner. As for the spine it's equally. Last but not least, under the dust jacket is one of the most beautiful hard covers I've seen, Alex Ross kills it with over 50 amazing covers!!

This was my first hulk series I read. I feel like you needed to know what happened in civil war 2 to know some of what was happening.

Man, such a great run. I've been back and forth on whether i want to upgrade the 5 OHC's for the omni but i think I'm going to stick w/ what i have. I'll track down the Gamma Flight trade. As far as the various one shots, pretty sure they are in the event omnis so not really worried about that either. This is a MUST READ for anyone that hasn't tried it.
Picked up the head-shot version at my LCS yesterday. From everything I've heard, I can't wait to dive in...

Everytime I see one of this omni videos I feel like they are all a must have.
I was upset when it got pushed to August, but if you have a review copy, then this must mean that I'm definitely getting it this week!!!! I started buying the individual hardcover volumes, but after I saw that they just kept coming, I decided to wait for the Omnibus. I've been waiting for this book for so long! I'm almost through with volume 2 of the "Preacher" Omni, and I'm jumping straight into "Immortal Hulk" directly after.
One of my most anticipated omnibus of the year ! So glad this is coming out ! This run was a scary good time while dealing with REAL life lessons like facing your past, fear, anger, and most of all, forgiveness. Right on Al Ewing ! I hope this pushes Marvel to finally get Bruce Jones Hulk the omnibus out now. Another amazing overview Omar !
I like how the standard cover is an homage to Neal Adams' Superman from Kryptonite Nevermore (Superman #233). It's fun when the big two homage each other.

Out of all the Omnibus I want, The Immortal Hulk. is the one I mostly want for sure.
Got my copy a week ago. The paper is quite thin, but that's to be expected given the page count/size of the book. I'm looking forward to re-reading this great run.

My absolute favorite run of Hulk. I especially love what happens with Doc Samson and Sasquatch towards the middle of the run. Idk, it’s a fun idea and dynamic and I’m kinda disappointed it hasn’t been explored a little more by other writers. Really looking forward to getting this book and I’m hoping the stock situation is handled better than Spidey 2099 🤞
I read the first 15 issues of this series, I've been waiting to finish this crazy and unique run for the hulk for when I buy the omnibus 👍

I've been excited about this Omni since I first heard about the series being Hulk + body horror. At the time, I just didn't expect it to be in this format so soon. I preordered it from CGN fairly recently, and it's allegedly on the way as we speak, though I won't believe it until it's in my hands. Apparently, this thing sold out pretty quickly.
I pre-ordered in April when it was originally solicited for a July 4 release. I really can't wait till it's in my hands either.

Blind buy that I'd pre-ordered off Amazon came in today... (I know... took a gamble... arrived MINT!) This book is a beast! Though it's page count is about 300ish more, it's about the same "size" on the shelf as the most recent printing of The Death and Return of Superman Omnibus.
I wished you'd make a video explaining all the past references in this story, using the books you already have. I have almost zero knowledge of the Hulk universe, and I can't help but feel that I've missed some things that I could have enjoyed more with some minimal background.
This is my dream book I wish I could get it

Ewing is like Hickman, he plants seeds for an overarching story in a run, that run is cancelled, then he gets a different title and continues the plot there
But it would have to contain these titles:
Mighty Avengers (Marvel Now!) - Captain America and the Mighty Avengers - Ultimates - New Avengers A.I.M. - U.S.Avengers - Avengers No Surrender - Quicksilver No Surrender (not written by Ewing, but it's an underrated companion) - Avengers No Road Home - Empyre - Guardians of the Galaxy - Ant-Man - Wasp - Defenders - Defenders Beyond - Avengers Inc.
And material from Loki: Agent of Asgard, Immortal Hulk, SWORD, X-Men Red and Venom
Panini tpb has the covers full size so I have to keep them as well.
I like both these covers but I feel there were better choices from the rest of the series. With some capturing the horror element of the series.
I've got this in the 4 volume TBP collected editions so I'll likely pass on the Omni, but it is a great run all the same.
The only thing I will say is that I don't know much about Hulk outside of the Bruce Banner persona, so the appearance of Rick Jones and Jimmy Fixit was a little confusing for me, as I didn’t know who they are, but it didn't spoil the enjoyment of this deep, deep dive
I was slightly disappointed to discover that the fold out 4 page spread in #50 is shrunk down. It was included at full size in the TPB (don't know about the OHC).

Did the research, as best I could, and the Great Power trade paperback really doesn't seem to add anything to the main storyline. It looks like they were just cashing in on Immortal Hulk with a slapped together spin-off. Am I wrong?
I haven't seen anything in the solicitation copy about one nugget of a story and it's making my inner completist panic. There was a 4-page story by Ewing & Bennett in the INCOMING one-shot featuring Fixit-as-Banner talking with Samson. It appears to be collected precisely nowhere. I was really hoping Marvel would remember it and include it here, since the series isn't really complete without it. I'm hoping to be pleasantly proven wrong, but it's not looking good.

@@Jackfromshack This is true. I don't agree with the, "wouldn't be half as good," but I agree with the sentiment that this run is also Joe Bennett's. He was the perfect artist for this run. I think the first half of the run was released tri-weekly and he did the overwhelmingly majority of it. I correct my earlier statement. This omni's title should include, "By Al Ewing And Joe Bennett." Nuff said. Take care and peace everyone.

Ewing wrote issue 3 to be done in different styles to drive home the point that the Hulk is a horror character. The point seems to have been missed if I judge on the basis of "The strongest superhero book there is" blurb.

As of right now, both cover options are currently sold out and on backorder through the distributor. We believe that a new printing of the regular cover should be due out near the beginning of December but the variant cover is unfortunately out of stock indefinitely at this time.
It's a shame that out of 50 amazing Alex Ross covers, they chose almost the blandest one... We should have gotten 3 covers with this, just like with thor and wolverine and the ulti spidey omnis.
Two weeks before release is great! We just want to see the actual book/spines, etc so we can make more informed decisions on which version we pick up (for those of us who don’t preorder far in advance).
Whenever I get an omnibus, the eye is never as prominent as shown in these videos. Am I meant to do something to widen the eye?
Absolutely loved this Hulk run! I have to be honest though. That Gamma Flight mini series was horrible!

Would anyone call this a good jumping on point for the Hulk? I'm a little torn between this and Planet Hulk. Either omnibus would basically be my introduction to the Hulk so I'm not sure which is better for me to pick up first.
Ewing's series is closer to the usual Hulk stuff. He's drawing on the works of Lee+Kirby, Bill Mantlo, Peter David, Bruce Jones, Paul Jenkins. Planet Hulk is enjoyable for younger readers.
both are great jumping on points. go for immortal if you want horror and go planet hulk if you want action

Got my copy on Saturday and I'm about 40% of the way through it. Wonderful scary stuff. Make no mistake; this is not a superhero book, this is a very disturbing horror comic.

Body horror, existential horror and so much more. I was reading David and Mantlo’s run by 12. Some was over my head but I still loved it.
I wouldn't have stopped my kids from reading it when they were 12, but there's some fairly gtaphic body horror and quite mature concepts.

I dont know what the Hell is warlock vol. 2 warlock vol. 3 and warlock vol. 4 . And my question is in what time line it is happening and if it has something with the original warlock. Are you speaking of the Masterworks or the old trades? There is an omnibus with the early Warlock stories out. Some of those trades and MMWs are out print. .
Adam Warlock is my favorite character so here goes : Warlock, vol. 2 is the 1982 six-issue limited series (with the mention Special Edition on the covers) that reprints Jim Starlin's run in the first volume with new covers. Warlock, vol. 3 is the 1992 six-issue limited series that reprints the same content with another batch of new covers. Warlock, vol. 4 is the 1998 four-issue limited series of new stories done by Tom Lyle. Warlock, vol. 5 is the 2004 four-issue limited series done by Greg Pak and Charles Adlard that is a new take on the character. There is also the Infinity Entity 2016 four-issue limited series that is a Warlock book even if is name isn't in the title. He also made a lot of appearances in Silver Surfer (1987 ongoing series), Infinity Abyss (2002 limited series) and Guardians of the Galaxy (2008 and 2018 ongoing series) and the cosmic events attached to these titles as well has a stint in Malibu's Ultraverse mainly in Curse of Rune (1995 limited series), Rune, vol. 2 (1995 ongoing series) and the first issue of Ultraverse Unlimited (1996).

I’m debating on this one…I had all the singles and I traded them in for an omnibus….
I’m sure it had to have been Ultimate Spider-Man Vol 2 but this run was amazing in the beginning and lost me. It reads good all together I’m sure but as it was coming out….it kinda dragged especially due to Covid…debating hard because the Art is what pulls me in. Ewings writing is mediocre to good and back to mediocre in this run🤔🤔🤔
Well it’s sold out everywhere with restocks coming in November, so you have a lot of time to think about it 😅
@@EffigeeWhiz my shop has the DM and Standard cover in stock and when I saw it, I immediately grabbed the DM one but then started thinking about if the story was really worth 150🤣
