I've a feeling that mouse's day's are numbered, a natural species of bait, natural colours it's even got a waggling tail... I'd always try the naturalist way possible, fish aren't as stupid as people think, and have more than a 2 second memory or how would they find their way back to their spawning grounds where their life began. As you can tell I really enjoyed your video once again. ANOTHER BIG THUMBS UP ALL DAY LONG..
QUESTION. Before you paint any of the lures do you clean them first with an alcohol? Or is there no need! I'm looking around for fairly large but cheap lures, not to fish with but to practice painting, the larger ones can involve more detail. Then when I feel confident enough I'll be doing it all for real. I ordered some from China just over a month ago so fingers crossed I'll have them soon.

Thanks Andrew!! I do to like natural colors The most and will always start fishing wittäg those first before trying a brighter color. Also in heavily fished water I believe that using something different then standard also produces good results. For example a tiny mouse. Great for all those fish that have all the lures that are out there. But then this tiny snack swims by, looking all-natural and perfectly normal. You get the idea 😆
I actually do not prep my blanks, I do keep em clean in an airtight bag. But when I sand down a lure for repainting them, then I do rinse them with water. And if necessary with alcohol. I never had any real issues with grease of fingerprints on lures as long as you put a few layers of a base coat on it. If you are going for a transparent lure with only a few little coats of paint. Then a fingerprint may stay visible the whole time 👍 you too take care my friend and tight lines!
