Wow this is awesome. I hope you guys make a whole series, showing how to repair everything possible on the C10 trucks. Specifically the square body trucks.
Thanks you the man took me 4 days trying to get it back in to I seen this video to pull the wire in the crack of the steering column wow 1st try you the man
Hi David! Thanks for the tips and tricks. I don't like that you guys moved to Kentucky 😒 but it's okay. hehehe. Could've gave a brother a notice. showed up and was like dang 😳 closed!
Great video! Is the wire only for the cruise control? Have new switch with wire but not going to hook the cruise up, so if i just slide a new switch in without hooking the wire up will wipers still work? Thanks!
Is it possible to get a picture of the ground buss bar on left side of dash? My wipers are slow and if I watch a test light on the ground wire after the delay switch it glows dimly when wipers slow down. Is there a wire that bolts on in the middle of the buss bar that goes somewhere else I can check? My dash is all together right now and was hoping there was a way around it.
Sorry Jason, we don't have vehicles around to take a photo of at the moment. Most of our vehicles we use for vids are in and out in a day and don't hang around.
I replaced the blinker and cruise switch, nut it is binding up, is it possible the plastic piece is turned and needs to needs to be turned back! My blinker lever is a little difficult too can't seem to get it right!
I got a 1990 K5 Blazer, the tilt steering column didn't work right and was really lose. The outer housing by the turn signal switch was busted bad. So I started disassemble and found out the knuck piece where broken and Jerry rigged. Trying to find replacement parts are hard and I rebuilt the entire steering column. The other problem was some of the wires weren't connected under the dash. I got everything back together and almost everything works except the cruise. Oh yeah found only 1 video that showed the complete disassemble and reassemble, and he took the entire out of the truck just like I did. But could need some help to figure out why the cruise doesn't work
Lots of stuff going on with the cruise, and it's probably not related to the switch at all. Does your speedometer work? Sounds like a dumb question but if the speedo doesn't work neither will the cruise.
Is it called a square body because of the shape of the housing my lever is broken and I’m going to replace its in a hot rod so I no it’s chev but no idea of what year my housing is the same as this one
You did everything from a top view. Never showed anything under the dash. Which is where the questions and problems arise. Everyone knows you have to take the old one out to replace it with the new one. Which is all you just did. 🤷🏿
Thanks to you and the production folks who help keep showing all of us old Chevy guys how to keep our trucks in good repair!
Yes, you are my buddy. I wouldn't be able to do much on my truck without good men like you helping fellers like me out. Thanks, guy!
These little tips Dave has can save many hours of frustration. Thanks!

Another "real world" video. Things don't always go as planned. Thank you for your time.

You bet!
Thank You, You're a lifesaver !!🍻👍👍
Since you only. Have? One chance. At it? I I would cut that end off and solder the pull through wire on then cut it and resolder the end back on
Thank You Very Informative
Nice, just what I needed a great video for me to learn & install..how will I get a hold of one without a part number linked in description

Sorry man, thanks for dropping by anyway!
Ky??? Where??? I’m in Kentucky..
Great video.
I wish I could find a cruise control blinker switch for an 83 with the wipers on the dash. It's the one without the big paddle.
Same here. Need one as well.
@@robertlambert5299 I can call one of the auto parts place here in Houston to find out if they have one
I don’t have a cool older brother, but if I did this would be him
Good video thank you
You just gave this dentist a panic attack. Nice video.
Thanks for the video
Great vid. Thx.

Title 73-87. "We're working on an 88 blazer"

@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV the speedometer does work. I wondering if it is something under the hood. And thank you for the fast response.
Can I put one without the wire..no need for cruise control as the engine Was swapped
Sure, dont see why not.
Can’t seem to pull my indicator stick out any ideas please
THANK YOU for the great tips on what to expect. Makes repairs smooth and prevent making things worse. Have any advice on broken starter mount ?
Whoa, that one could be tough! We've never run into that so we wouldn't know where to start with advice. Good luck!
What a pain... think I'd just solder the old wire onto the new switch! So long as my wires are ok.
Just pulls out? I’ve been messing with mine for 20 minutes!😂
How hard is it to retrofit this switch to a '73?
Different column would be needed.

title says 1973-87, but you said this is an 1988. which one is it? are they all the same?

Still didn’t see what screw you tightened
Video titled, “73-87”. Dave, “so we have this 88 in the shop today…”
