  • Grilled Whole Red Snapper
    This fish quickly became our favorite after vacationing on the gulf coast. It has a firm texture and a mild sweet flavor. We enjoy grilling this whole, stuffed with fresh citrus and herbs! It is a perfect summertime treat!
    • 1 - 1.5 to 2 LB Whole Red Snapper
    • 1 Lemon Sliced
    • 1 Lime Sliced
    • 1 TSP of Salt
    • 1 TSP of Pepper
    • 1 Bunch of Fresh Parsley
    • ¼ Cup of Olive Oil
    We setup our Green Egg to cook direct at 375 degrees. Rinse your fish well, our fish was cleaned and scaled where we sourced it. Score the fish on both sides with a sharp knife. Coat the Snapper in the olive oil inside and out. Salt & Pepper the fish and stuff the inside with the lemon, lime and herbs. Place the fish in a grilling basket and place on the grill. Cook the fish on both sides for 5-7 minutes or until the internal temp reaches 145 degrees. Remove and enjoy!

    I thought a man in Waterloo, IA was a bit funny for cooking fish on his grill. It worked for Howard. That inspired me to eventually learn to grill fish.

    Do I really need a fish basket ? Would an Extra clean grill with cooking spray work? btw the Head is good too , Im Bahamian so that comes natural to us and most Caribbean ppl
