Amazing video Martyn, this ride and Pirates are my two favourites at DLP. One of the key reasons I love this ride is for the story it’s so gothic! I’m definitely going to be looking out for the book and the jumper when I go hopefully in a couple years once Corona has blown over.
One thing I never noticed until recently is that in the portrait of the Bride just before you enter the Doombuggy is that the Phantom is secretly behind her in the portrait it’s very faint but if you look in the background of the portrait you’ll see it!
Keep up the magical work, glad to see someone as obsessed with the ride as I am ;)✨

A Pirates one would be amazing! That’s the amazing thing with the Disney rides they’re so amazing at immersing you even before you’re on the ride the queue and the buildup adds so much! ✨
This ride is my favorite. I should start working there soon. ;) And indeed, as someone posted it a few hours ago, the gothic quality of the storyline is what got me too. It has that quality that The Haunting (by Robert Wise) has.
My favorite scene is the grand staircase, where you greet people. I just love the score you've got at that precise moment, with the props around. It looks so victorian and with all the colors. It almost looks like 3D or some painting coming to life. That's the disney magic.
Hi Joris, oh wowser! That'll be fantastic. I was reading that the cast member clothing is designed to match the carpets. Yeah it really does have that quality. The grand staircase feature is breathtaking! It really brings you in to the story. Yeah, I always think that she's going to turn around at any moment! Best of luck with the opening. I heard Phantom Manor is going to get their own haunted mansion holiday It’s going to happen this year too bad I was in Paris last year but I didn’t go to Disneyland Paris that year
