New Haven Fire Fepartment runs a white livery on their truck. I don't know why. The red trucks were mutual aid companies that came from surrounding cities.
I think they look good, nice and simple. Not overloaded with diamond chrome, a lot lesser gold lettering, serious but normal wheels etc., bet they saved a few bucks also, which could mean another vehicle.
As a fire captain for los angeles county. I would have gone offensive approach, enter the structure, and assess the an interior 360. And then go defensive approach the fire upwind and protect exposures. The ladder truck took to long to get the wet stuff on the fire. Remember, property conservation is a priority.
LOL the roof system in completely involved in fire and self venting and you want to put guys under it. The fire stops did their jobs and the spread was stopped to the initial partition. Thank god nobody looks to LA for tactics because your comment is beyond brain dead.
@@WikedYahoo Companies did initially go interior but command made the decision to go defensive due to the buildings confusing layout as well as due to the volume of fire
Thank You for your hard work in bringing this Clip . What is the Largest Size of Supply Line that New Haven has on its Engines ? Per my views of their Engines on this Clip and other previous Clips it looks like they run Dual 3 inch Supply Lines. If this is correct what is the reasoning behind this and why they have never upgraded to 5 inch Supply Line . In this Clip it looks like the 5 inch Supply Line at this Specific Fire is off of the Mutual Companies .
@@megaweld7018 New Haven runs 3 inch. The thought process was to have a smaller line for tight spaces. As well as 3 inch is much easier to move than 5 inch. Companies on this fire were hindered by hydrant problems.
Once again all these trained people walking around in and out of a burning structure without wearing their SCBAs. Starting to lose my sympathy about all these huge legal settlements because they got cancer fighters fires! Use the equipment you are given to help prevent that. Even the tower operators high above all those invisible fumes and no SCBSs!!!!
Nice footage. Thank you, first responders, for all you do.
Nice catch! I just subscribed. Hello from Tolland!
Old building no sprinklers probably a huge fire load on the inside of the building good job and making that stop
Excellent video!
Thanks, definitely one of the biggest fires I have seen in a long time.
Wow. Must have really been hot!!! Tyvm
Smoke on the water. A fire in the sky
from Litchfield great video
That's wild great footage
Nice video. Keep up.
Why is the average colour of the fire trucks white, not red?

Great job guys
From what I can see on the video, it looks like there might’ve been some brick firewalls that stopped it from spreading to the rest of the building.
Great footage. Was there another fire across the street at the beginning?
No it was the smoke from the original building
Great job

@Jmccarthy298 Thank You for the response back and for the information.
What were the bells? Train or the bridge?
I heard there was a fire boat on scene.
Bridge
Now that folks is how it's done.
Ferry Street Not Fairy
Not Fairy St was dispatched as Fairy St, but fire was on River St.

arson?
My opinion is not arson that building was used as an auto shop and a food truck storage factory.
