Dude I thought it was just my bike, but at 12:57 you can hear that distinct ringing! My bike does the same thing. So weird. Glad I'm not alone.

I know these motors are naturally very loud and part of why enthusiasts don’t like them. Always sounds like valve tapping.

Hi there thanks for the video very interesting. There's one thing you could clear up for me though. Does the powertronic duplicate the function of the fuelx? In other words, if you just get the powertronic, you don't need the fuelx?
It does not to the full effect of the fuel x. I now run both together and it’s never ran harder.
What do you think is better? The KTM quick shifter or the powertronic sensor. (KTM can't be programmed) And was the KTM addon only a software check or did they actually install the sensor.
The ktm sensor was already on the bike when I bought it from the dealer. They just load in the program and it’s good to go. I have not used the powertronic one yet. I reached out to them to do a video and they did not want to work with me on it so I held off.
Enjoyed the videos. So what is the difference between the ECU and the FUEL X? One smooths out the low end and one give it more power on the high end of the power band?
Power difference is noticeable and rpm range as well. Fuelx just adds fuel to make sure the bike runs optimal. I’m currently running both together and perfect.
@@burnoutbobby Thanks. So would the ECU with map change not only smooth out the bottom (add fuel) but also gives more on top so a better mod?
To me the ecu alone felt choppy and very aggressive on the throttle and the fuelx cleaned it up.
@@burnoutbobby Thank you. I'll start with the FuelX then. I also realized for ECU to work, the map has to be tuned to your exact equipment, therefore, almost hard to be exact.
There are hundreds of maps available to use and most likely one will fit your specific setup. I went through the different settings on the fuel x and found what felt best with tuning it.
hello from turkey, i've watched both of your interesting videos (fuelx and this one). i ve got duke 250 2022 and want to use these products but im just curious about, wanna ask you few questions like which one do you prefer, what is the difference between fuelx and powertronic i mean i riding it normally not quick. im just riding to go home and work. which one do you reccomend it to me ? which one will be better to my bikes health and performance ? thanks for answers, subscribed !
Hey man that’s awesome I think the best route for you will be the fuelx. I just had another subscriber get it after watching my videos and he absolutely loves it. You can’t beat how clean the bike runs after installing it. Plus it’s a great price! Keep me posted if you get it!

The ecu has a lot more tuning capabilities and comes with two maps. One is street and the other is a race map. Race is very aggressive and very noticeable.
My question is the throttle response and the ETB ( electric throttle body ) position when closing the throttle.
I do a lot of wheelies and looking for something for a smoother fuel delivery. I don’t want the throttle body slamming closed when throttle cuts.
Would this ecu do any good for someone who enjoys hitting wheelies ?
I am not sure as I don’t do wheelies and don’t want to give you the wrong answer. I don’t think it slams closed though from riding experience.
From what I understand most throttle bodies when closing will stay open a few percent to allows a smooth engine braking experience. From the small amount of research I’ve done on the 390 the ETB closes completely, and then rapidly opens when back on the throttle. Which really stinks when you’re balancing on one wheel lol
@toshstorm I think the fuelx helps with that. Because factory they are very choppy. I’d do the fuelx over the ecu for your wheelies.

The ecu is a big difference over fuelx. The acceleration and torque was noticeable. The fuelx just cleans up the bike from stock but for direct improvement the ecu is where it’s at. I have gotten lots of people in the ktm Facebook groups to get on board and not one has been disappointed
@@burnoutbobby So with airbox mod and exhaust with fuelx we will not able to increase performance?
It will just run cleaner. Not as lean as it would be without it. The tune is where all the power is

I’d do the powertronic ecu as that helped slot with the airbox lid and exhaust. I haven’t dug deep into the motor with cams and whatnot just yet but will soon and see how that does.

That’s basically what I have now. Just with an airbox lid. It helps but definitely will run lean. You will want either the fuelx or powertronic ecu when you do that.

Yes it improved top speed as well. You can also do a larger front sprocket to help

I still wouldn't get a powercommander I'd want as much life as I can get from the 390 2021

After I did the powertronic ecu it woke the bike up tremendously so I don’t plan to do anything else after this
Yo....I see that there is no filter for your air box lid ... the air flow to the throttle body is supposed to come from bottom... with that air box your risking dust and leaves etc to enter the engine....
Yoooo…. Not only do I have an air filter but my airbox lid also has a red uni filter under it. Boom mind blown.
