Always been afraid to this and instead pad the packaging cost into the price. However, now you've got me intrigued. Shipping supplies can get pricey!

Oh , I understand now, inside the Ebay phone app, yes I do this a lot. I do like the way the photos go right on Ebay and not saved needlessly to you cellphone. I agree, this is nice !

I hear you! I have 3 daughters 4years, 2years and 4.5 months. I do all my listings on my tablet. I take pictures at night after they fall asleep. I do mostly cloths so I can't scan a upc code. I love sell similar option, such a time saver!

Just a tip to others. Using a fully white background is what is suggested by eBay seller vice-president. He notes 1) it’s cleaner which customers seem to appreciate and 2) google image search prefers white (or at least plain) backgrounds.

Try using lemon essential oil to remove stickers and glue. Non toxic and works beautifully.
use SixBit to List fast items on ebay you will save even more time and even more speed. Give it a try. this is a very powerful tool

I also do 60 day returns and have so since that's an option. I rarely get a return. I'm part time and sell about 20 to 25 items a month. 3 returns this year.
Tracy Williams-Lindsey That was something I was confused about. (I’m confused a lot!!) Doesn’t eBay *make* sellers take returns? If so, what’s the point in having a return policy? Maybe I misunderstood that about eBay policy....
@@amandadobbs8609 They dont MAKE you, but they wont auto relist your stuff, or give you discounts.
But when you sell Underwear, or a comic book you dont want someone trying them on and returning them, or reading the comic and using you as a library (it happens)
Try Undo, so much faster and no greasy feel like Goo Gone. Industrial Heat gun with a stand is great way to save time over the dryer. Honestly since using the Ind gun I rarely use and chemical.I recently started using seller champ. I can literally list a item in 1 min. For me extremly worth it since I stopped selling vintage items. Took me about 2 days to figure it out and set it the way I like it.
Curt S Lemon or citrus essential oils will also remove sticky stuff. I prefer to use it on my health/beauty stuff because it’s non-toxic and no chemical smell. (It even smells nice!) You can get it cheap at pharmacies or Walmart/Target and a little bit goes a long way.

Thanks Lindey !!! you taught this old dog a new trick ....i did not know you could take photos direct on your iphone to ebay platform without storing it on your iphone......i was transferring them after i took them and had to delete them off my iphone every few days...(that sucked) anyways thanks for the tip..(WAY FASTER) I.been selling only on ebay about 21 years now....and i'm still learning....I'm up for that ...cheers happy 2020 and lots of prosperity as well.
Question: Can you do a video on how to setup your Ebay store to run sales?
I used to only use the eBay app to take my photos but last year I talked to one of the corporate peeps at eBay about problems with my account and she said DO NOT take pics with the eBay app. She said google doesn’t understand those pics. I took new pics of all of my inventory not using the app and sales went up big time!
But that was last years and with eBay always updating maybe something changed 🤷🏼♀️
Things are always changing! I’ve been taking photos this way without issue thus far. I think a lot of ebays suggestions are so that the items link to google shopping (white background etc) but I’m not concerned about that. It can take weeks or months for google to pickup on eBay listings. I would rather flip stuff quick on eBay than worry and hassle over google shopping picking it up. eBay and google don’t seem to be very easily compatible at the moment
Only saw you live once - and now you seem to have stopped that. :( You are such an inspiration - you were getting me motivated - now I am having trouble staying on track. Today was a great video, I will try the few at a time method you use. Even just a few a day is something.

Great video Lindey! I do mine almost the same way except I don’t use eBay’s app to take my pictures. Yes that means a lot of deleting, but it came in handy last year when pictures ended up disappearing from listings.
I did it that way for a long time just because I was worried about that BUT when you have 1000 pics it’s almost faster to just pull the item and photograph again rather than sit and scroll! 🤦🏽♀️

I have a 1 1/2 year old it’s hard to even sit and list. I try to take pictures super quick so I can at least have pictures that I can use. Then add measurements later

Christine Norman - yes you can. She uses the gun for speed so she doesn’t have to type every thing she lists
ebay has a scanner on its site you can use that too, it only checks for ebay comps though.

I do this also but backwards. I use the phone app scan the UPC code find a good listing to do sell similar and take the photos then and save the draft and finish the listing on my desk top after. I do all my photos on all listings first. For items that don't have listings for my exact item or for lots I also just take photos at that time and upload to my desk top later or I will create a brand new listing on the phone app and take photos there.

Okay about saving the pics on the phone. I like taking the pics on the app also. However I'd I want to cross sell on Letgo of Offer up I need to have the pics on my phone. I was wondering what people do with all their pics.
representing50plus yea so I started selling on poshmark too and I do eBay primarily however I regret not taking photos with my camera outside the eBay app because I needed photos for poshmark so yeah
screen shot your photos then just crop them to look original!
Do you have a Vis on how to create the templates using what you used to make it a drop-down and use the template? I have tons of stuff, but I write them out, have created a decent 100% mobile responsive one with Google Docs (but even changing the content for each item to fit my template takes forever), I could be so much further ahead if I could just simplify a few things.

As a Canadian seller - don't worry, our "products" do not overlap - I find it humorously unfair the postage rates between our countries. While you can sell your Flonase for US $11.88 with free shipping and still make a profit, it would cost me US $8.66 in postage alone to send my Flonase next door. Only things lighter than 17.6 oz AND thinner than 0.8 inches can be sent relatively cheap within Canada.
I will have to see if you have a video on your inventory. How do you find the item when one sells?

I just started doing HBA goods in my ebay store this summer, I am so happy to hear a barcode scanner will work with ebay. I will order one this week. When you are going through the listing process and realize that you really need 2 of an item to sell to make it worth while (maybe you dont do it this way), if so what do you do with the product in the mean time? I am starting to build tubs of items that need a 2nd one and its getting to be a lot to keep up with. Thanks for your help!
When I have a large lot I try to group identical items together as a lot for listing but if I only have a single and it isn’t worth listing alone then I have just been storing them to the side in a bin and I just keep a mental note whenever new lots come in. Or I just put it aside to sell locally in a lot or garage sale. Sometimes I will sell boxes of those items locally to people for around $1-$2 just to get the cash flow back

Great video! I have only one problem with using the photo app. Even though it doesn't happen often, eBay does "loose" photos from the listings. I used to go through the pain and toil of owning a web site that I sold from. Then I found eBay and that web site is now history. Costs way less and takes less time on my part of maintaining a web site from start to finish ... every day. However, I do take the pictures using my phone and transfer them into a folder on my computer. Each picture is saved using a custom number which is also used within the listing as my custom ID number. Then photos are deleted from phone and all the pictures on the computer is actually stored on a disc drive so that it does not take up storage room on the computer. I know some will think this is a huge waste of time, everyone to their own way of doing things. I can say this has been a great way of doing for myself since eBay has lost item pictures several times over the years. All I do is go to the disc drive, reinsert the pictures and I'm done! No having to pull the item and having to go through taking all the pictures again! Works for me.
