I completely agree with your analysis. I just got these after being disappointed in the latest versions of my NB go to's. Right out of the box I ran 10 miles in these and loved them. So comfy and springy. Will make a great marathon training shoe.
I ran with this shoe at the 70.3 Musselman . This shoe is a dream if you are training for long distance and if your legs are somewhat sore , I wouldn’t use them daily . More of a recovery distance run or half marathons
I tried these on in a store, where they had a small track and I absolutely loved them. Unfortunately couldn't get them, as they didn't have a different size/women's version. About the paces and versatility, I would say it very much depends. I am not a fast runner, so even for my faster paces, these seemed to give me enough bounce for it to feel good. In terms of racing, I'd say the weight would be more of a problem than the foam itself.
Your thoughts are right there with mine. I love these things, but they certainly do require some more care when cornering. The soft bounce of them is just simply the best though. Mizuno designed the shoe for long, cruising runs and absolutely nailed it.
@philipppuchner1115 After my first run with the SB2 I would say it is very similar to the SB1, feels a bit softer but my SB1 has done more than 600k. The Neo Vista feels much softer, sinking in like a pillow but surprising resilience; but Matt from doctors of running said it did lose some resiliency after a while. The SB2 is more like a stiffer spring, but then I also hardly broke them in after 15k. For me the Neo Vista will probably be for easier (long) runs and the SB2 seems to be just as great for all types of long runs incl. faster efforts.
I got a pair of these and finally got a chance to try them out today. They were great on uphills, with tons of bounce. Could have gone with a 12 rather than an 11.5 but the 11.5 isn't a deal breaker.
Hey Ben great video as always, I wanted to ask you how is your ankle now ? did you regain full ROM? and if you could make a video to update us that would be helpful!
I don't have full range of motion.. I never will. But it doesn't affect me in anyway that I know of. It took about 2 years of work to get it to be ok in daily life. But then I did have a lot of tendon damage from my accident. Hope you're all ok if you're doing through something similar.
Appreciate the content sir and hope the recovery is going well for you and Sarah atm. How would you rate this one vs the Nike Tempo, which is my favourite do it all shoe?
If you have over-pronation go with Kayano, however they're heavier and not nearly as responsive as the neo vista. If you are neutral or only mildly pronate, I would pay the extra for Neo Vista.
I am not sure if I will believe in those type of midsole. Mine Rebellion Pro 1 has broken after 5th run. I run in it not more than 90km total. No one of runs longer than 20K.
They save material with big "hole"😂 on the bottom of the shoe I want flat bottom on my ones . And price is too high. It looks little like ankle boot. Colour I like. How durable a shoe is, time will tell...

38 miles in my Neo vistas so far and just absolutely love them!
Did they break in for you, or do they feel amazing how they come?
Very smooth and comfy shoe. Great job Mizuno. Like many other people I love the upcoming Boston 13 (Boston 12 is water on the oasis).

I love my Vista's! So comfy for those long, slower efforts 👌🏻

Yes.. just never had the confidence to corner that fast. Great to hear you're enjoying them!
I love that color way, I’d love to try it out one day
Goes great with that shirt 😮
Picked up a very lightly used pair for £90, a worldy at that price!
great shoes, impressive compliance and resilience, kinda like a softer Superblast 1.
How about the Superblast 2? That is supposed to be a bit softer than the Superblast 1.

Have you heard about Fila or Olympikus? They are great shoe makers from Brazil! It would be nice to see a review of their products.

Know something we don’t about a Boston 13?👀👀👀
I thought that too! I need more 12s 😂
These were too mushy and slow for me. The Wave Rebellion Flash 2 provided an energetic and fun ride in a more lightweight and breathable package
That's the problem with these shoes. At slow pace they are mushy. At faster pace they turn alive and stop being so mushy

Stunning shoe
Thanks Ben, I do wonder if they're durable though...
What a beautiful shoe!
$320 in Australia. Yeahhhhh, NAH 🙃 Not for a trainer 🙅♀️
Yeah pretty equivalent in NZ at $350(NZD). Still cheaper than SB2 though (380 here).
I wonder how it compares to mizuno wave neo. I have that and it felt great.

The VAR is checking you at 5:50
haha, yes. It's a good spot to watch the football!
Looking at the shoe I would really be concerned about stability and lockdown but it seems like that's not a big issue
I really wish the women’s was this pretty blue too
Thanks for the review Ben! what about long distances without socks? would be possible ?
Cost aside, would you go with this or the Superblast? I appreciate you can’t compare it against the Superblast 2 yet.
Superblast!
Boston 13 ? Or SL2 there Ben 😀🏃
I can only see this for LSD. The question is if this is better than kayano 30 which is almost half price now?
If you have over-pronation go with Kayano, however they're heavier and not nearly as responsive as the neo vista. If you are neutral or only mildly pronate, I would pay the extra for Neo Vista.
Can you review Chinese shoes as well ? They seem quite good

Midsole has SC Elite V3 vibes
This one or the Superblast 2 ? 😮
Pshh... superblast
I haven't ran in the superblast 2 yet.. will do this weekend hopefully. Will mention the Mizuno shoe in that review!
@@BenParkes thx
What happened with Comrades? Anyone know?
Waiting for your Superblast 2 thoughts mate
Out this Sunday hopefully!
Can already order from sportsshoes
great job ben parkes. yo ushould try doing a review on track spikes
😎
This vs SC Elite 3.

How durable a shoe is, time will tell...
It's the Nike lunar epic Flyknit revived
wen ppl talk about marathon pace wat km/min is that roughly?
it tends to be what pace they'd run a marathon at. For me that's around 3:45-3:50/km currently. My PB is 3:28/km.. but not in that shape currently.
@@BenParkes holyy fk ur fast!
That upper...
It's been done before.
And disappeared.
You're basically killing time until the superblast2
Oh my days that is easily the ugliest shoe I have ever seen.
First 😂🎉
No one cares
